Is there a creepier looking place in Scotland than bangour. No matter the time of day or the weather there's always a mist hanging over the place. The place is probably riddled with dead bodies as well

I wouldn't fancy doing the groundworks on that site

It was a hospital before that, but the Mental Village thing seems to have stuck...

It was a mental institution first, Bangour General was built many years later

Dunno if I'm comfortable with the term mental in this context.

near Glasgow

Many a poor soul involved in an RTA on the old 'killer' A8 breathed their last breath in that place.

The place must be full of their ghosts!!

I would love to stay over night in each of the buildings to see what happens as I love the place, one of my aunt's was a nurse in one of the mental institution buildings and we went to visit her one time as my mum had a hospital appointment and every door we went through had to be unlocked and locked behind u and some of the patients in the unit were really creepy as they were all drugged up, it reminded me of one flew over the cuckoo's nest xx

Consider me educated then. I had never heard that bit before, and had always been told it was setup as a multi-functional location for war uses.

I think so yes. Especially when you think about the history of the place and the poor souls who've passed through it

Hartwood hosp is scarier more ghosts and ghouls roam about that place than bangour village hosp. The general hosp was once an army hosp when livingston was getting built. Long before st johns.
