Secretary would be my go-to, but David Lynch's Blue Velvet has its peculiar charms, and 9 1/2 Weeks has Kim Basinger.

Secretary seems to get the dynamic right, and Blue Velvet is a fantastic film like many of David Lynch's, also Belle de Jour starring the beautiful Catherine Deneuve is well worth watching.

The Duke of Burgundy is an interesting movie.

Looking at duke of burgandy as we speak, it kinda of reminds me of a mini series i watched called tipping the velvet, and onto series where theres an interesting bdsm theme, i do rather enjoy penny dreadful, any other series you like?

Nice. I first saw it a few months before the general release – I was a UGC (as it was called at the time) Unlimited cardholder, and they used to do surprise test screenings of forthcoming films – you'd watch them then fill in a comment card. That was one I went to, with no idea it was going to be Secretary.

Half the audience had got up and walked out in the first 15 minutes, and a lot of the rest had done the same by the end. The few of us that were left filled in our comment cards and agreed that we'd thoroughly enjoyed it. :p

I’m a sucker for any Victorian era set dramas too.

It must be the legacy of all those heaving bosoms I saw in Hammer horror movies at an impressionable age...
