She really was such an incredible singer. There will never be another like her.

‘Angel’ is my favourite Aretha song.

Another great voice gone.

"Son of a preacher man"

Bein' good isn't always easy

No matter how hard I try

When he started sweet-talkin' to me

He'd come'n tell me "Everything is all right"

He'd kiss and tell me "Everything is all right"

Can I get away again tonight?

And yes, I know it was originally sung by Dusty Springfield, but I prefer this version.

Growing up with a father who was a jazz musician I was exposed to the wonderful Aretha from an early age and always loved her. I feel like another part of my childhood has gone. She had a long battle against illness but what a legacy she has left.

My personal favourites...

"Until You Come Back to Me" and "I Say a Little Prayer"

Jinty

She was an amazing woman. Singer, actress, she could do it all.

I don’t have a favorite because there are too many I love.

I guess the heavenly band just got a new lead vocalist.

RIP
