Having suffered with insomnia for the past two weeks I’m at the end of my tether!

Does anyone have any tips that work to aid a full nights sleep?

I’m actually coming off medication so it’s a side effect. The heat doesn’t bother me

If ur not sleeping within say 30/45 mins get up don’t just lie there

Never watch/read anything that makes ur mind work overtime carp tv before bed or a serial as apposed to a series (sure I’ve got that the right way round)

I dont tend to sleep much and often wake at silly o’clock. A wee stint on Fab usually sends me back to sleep.

Failing that I’ll reach for my book and within half an hour I’ll be sleeping again.

Or if I’m really really lucky I’ll have a willing participant who will help tire me out

Get up at 0500 run or walk for a hour back to the house 0600 start work 0730 work as hard as you can get home 1930/2030 clean house go to bed 2230 dont touch your phone unless its to set alarm close your eyes and reapeat a poem or a long saying over and over and over and over relax next thing you know your alarm has woken you up the key is when you go to sleep relax keep your eyes closed stay off your phone keep worring thoughts for day time NOT night time

Sometimes a glass of hot milk helps me get over, but the trick is staying asleep.

Recently been trying some audio 'sleep mediations' that you can find on YouTube. Certainly get me to sleep, not so sure on the mediation message implanting/mood changing.

If your a coffee drinker go on to decaf as I had lots of problems sleeping. Reason was the amount of coffee I drank. Not a problem now I've switched.
