somewhere nowhere near you....

Woke up to a screenshot of my profile on messenger this morning,someone threatening to 'out' me....angry isnt even close to how im feeling atm...according to friends on here a spate of idiots publishing pics and profiles..disgusting!!!

Could be any reason !

They could know her or meet her in a fun meet or she knocked back, it could be someone whom works beside or near and recognise her.

It can happen to anyone on here and they just be that inclined to be nasty and out her for no reason. Its happened to females on here and men and they were single as well.

just happened to 3 girls in the chat room.

Someone took stills, found their twitter and sent messages to their families that they were on fabswingers.

Absolute sickening, hope they get caught

Agreed, don't feed them, just leave it.

Be prepared that they might do it and deal with it. Look at all avenues and if they use messanger I'm sure the police can trace them

Definitely contact the police... was this an email based messenger or one where they know your phone number? Easier to trace by the cops if there’s an address or phone number to trace back to

I’m gobsmacked. I had no idea things like that actually happened in this supposedly trusting community.

Kinda worrying for me as I don’t often keep every aspect of my life under lock and key, and often would find myself chatting merrily about personal details.

No more! From this point on I will just have to be similarly cagey and secretive.

It's pretty shit, however they are traceable from messenger. I understand OP's reaction id want to find them and send mariarchi singers and clowns to their door with a leaflet detailing their exploits to hand out to everyone around them but yes, there's probably more satisfation in pursuing it legally in the long run.

I ended up changing my name and swapping pics in the hope she never found me again.

Change your settings on Facebook. Once you have someone’s number their Facebook profile may start appearing as people you may know or if you have a mutual friend.

Take your phone number off Facebook so it can’t be linked to you.

I’m sure there’s more you can do to protect your information.
