We've had little swinging experience, but what he have had has mainly been great, enjoyable fun. Tried and enjoyed a few clubs too. What we have hoped for that hasn't happened yet is a a good party.

We've only been to one party and to be frank we felt rather awkward. The other couples in attendance already knew each other and despite our being chatty and friendly it was not easy breaking into the established group dynamics, so we felt rather like outsiders. A feeling that did not diminish when the other couples started play by swapping partners with each other, leaving us out.

Perhaps our idea of how swingers parties 'work' is mistaken – we expected a normal party type event with music, drinks, chatting & socialising to get to know people, perhaps some saucy games to liven things up, and with the added excitement of more as the evening progressed. The one party we attended was nothing like that. Everyone was sat about chatting until, at a pre-agreed point

, everyone stripped naked, paired up and started having sex.

Are our expectations about swinger parties misguided?

No, we have been to a few parties and they happened just as you stated. Social, few drinks and chat etc. Then the fun progresses. Been to some where they have used some sexy games to kick it off and it’s ended up in a big orgy with everyone involved. Others people have gone off for their fun with people they have clicked with, not all playing together.

But yeah, not nice what happened to you guys. Wouldn’t let one bad experience put you off xxx

If only attended maybe 1 or 2 in all the yrs myself and hubby have been swinging and to be honest they weren't what we expected but over the yrs if notice a huge decline in folk hosting them.maybe due to folk prefaring clubs or private meets who knows?

I host private parties.

They are a mix of single females,single males & couples.

They are always very relaxed with drinks,some food,and some party games too.

There is NEVER any expectations to play but if some people click and decide to have fun they can.

You'd be more than welcome to come to one if you ever fancy it xx

Another option is to host a small party yourselves. Invite a few couples for drinks etc and who knows?

Contact a few couples who you think you might like to meet, and see what happens.

Nothing ventured nothing gained.

CJ’s is another option to try and the lady who posted above is known for hosting parties as well.

I think a better ideal is to host one yourself , start of small and see where it leads.

I find parties a little awkward as never doing the right mix going to other people’s.

Apartment or lodge and invite a few sounds ideal, I fancied trying this when we were active but never happened .
