Mingmong

I've been off the radar followong my "cunt" and "fandan" posts but I'm back with the definitively unique scottish word of mingmong.

The origins of this word are unknown but Scottish cunts tend not to overthink things cause we're too busy calling cunts fandans so its narrowly believed that we fused the word minger (a person of poor general cleanliness and hygiene, or with general disregard for the general cleanliness and hygiene of others) and mong (a person with very little common sense or one who makes ridiculous blunders like putting a plastic kettle on a gas hob expecting it to boil).

Who has heard or used mingmong before?

I use a variant of it when I'm talking to my labourer. I won't be sharing it on the forums though as I can't be arsed with the faux outrage it'd cause. Fuckin bangers

Never heard it before but a nice word...I’ll file it along with the other useful Scottish words I’ve picked up in the 35 years I’ve lived here...humbledoddies, dicksplash, and outwith

I think you're right with the origins, that's the same meaning of the word that I know
