Just an observation on my part and any observations and comments welcome.

Are there more profiles that now have a rider attached that goes something like the following ;

"If you don't have a clear face pic attached to your first message or on your profile, *I WILL NOT REPLY*. And no - you won't get away with it if wearing shades or your face is partially obscured by a camera."

While I understand and appreciate that it's a personal choice regarding the criteria we request potential playmates to meet, there does seem to me to be a bit of an imbalance when expected to send a face pic with first message without knowing very much at all about the person/people we are expected to send it to ? The majority of people who request these pics don't usually have one on their own profile.

Of course its my/our choice to send or not send but it still seems to be a potentially unreasonable request.

Especially tough criteria for me as I happen to have a face like a bag of rusty spanners !

I dont have a problem sending a face pic if im chatting to someone, but I do have to admit I generally like them to send 1 first.

I used to send 1 within a few messages, not really caring. Until I was speaking to a 'single guy' who sent a pic, he wasnt single, he was married, and I know this....because I went to school with him, and I know his wife and kids. Lucky he had sent a pic 1st, so he didnt know who he was talking to.

So now im one of those that wont send a face pic until I have seen 1.

I request a face pic and if this is forecoming send one back.

I tend to meet locally and even the biggest of towns can be small places so like to check that i dont know or work with the person.

I also only meet men who I'm physically attracted to and its the face that does this for me rather than anything else.

It may not sound fair but it works for me and saves a lot of time chatting to find out that you dont actually want to meet the bloke as your just not attracted to them.

I have plenty face pics in private. I do request a face pic, because regardless of how charming someone is, i must find an attraction to someone physically before i consider taking things any further. If i get a face pic, and i like the person then i send one back and leave it for them to decide if they like me.

yip guilty we ask for a face pic or wont reply. if there is a "aye he looks ok" we always send one back. not apologising for it - nobody has to either send a message or a pic. totally agree with ms sheets

Any one could send any face pic to anyone requesting one and the folk be none the wiser, i trust no one except the face i shave in the morning, or unless i know the profile has some street cred.

its annoying when i see profiles with that on it . no reply without face pics ..... i got them on my profile . especially when they dont have any seems a bit cheeky . i dont care what the excuse is , must be able to put something up to give any sort of idea as to what the person looks like as they are asknig for one of me . fair is fair .

Many people keep their images private so they dont show as having any on their profile but can still send one attached to a message.

Its very common for pictures to be copied and used in unsavoury ways so this is an option for people who value their privacy.

I used to be in the frame of mind, that no pic will be sent.

After a similar post, I have changed my mind.

I will now send one, but only if the person who contacts me sends one with their message first. This has been put on my profile so that the person understands our view point.

If I contact them and they request it, I send it and hope that they have tthe decency to reciprocate. I never ask them to send one, if I did the contacting.

I think that this is fair on all.

We ask exactly that, if you mail us looking for a meet then face pic must be supplied with the first message, if we are interested in the mailer we will return a mail with a face pic of us.

The reason we do this is we see no point in days maybe weeks of mailing someone only to discover there is no attraction.

Exactly. We ended up getting fed up getting all dolled up only to be disappointed, which is why I changed my mind in sending pics.

we prefer to chat or meet with people who are open minded and secure enough in themselves not to give a fuck what anyone else thinks of them...so with that in mind, we tend to go for people who do not hide pics! dont care if its cock, face or body pics! we dont trust people who hide things!

If we are interested in someone we always attach face pics with initial message, and we expect the same. Makes it a lot easier to see if there is an initial attraction.

I understand this mutual trust that each can forward on pics to each other to both let you know who your talkin to and what they look like, but the Op was on bout this "You must send a pic" on the profile, sorry but any "You musts" just instantly give me the impression of kinda bossing the situation and or theres an element of "one way traffic" about it all.
