Completely disagree. There is plenty of talent being developed through youth systems in Scotland, it's such an uneducated, armchair comment to throw out that there isn't good young talent playing and developing here.

Go and watch any full time club in the country and you'll see a healthy representative of talented young players in their matchday squads.

I don't believe Scottish football is of a very sub standard. The Premiership is entertaining and competitive. It's the perfect developing ground for internationals and players who will go on to be internationals.

And the general consensus is, we're not at the World Cup (or didn't make the play-off), because the manager didn't select the best team (more partucularly, striker) at home to Lithuania.

Fine margins. We were unlucky to miss out on the play off.

I was giving an opinion on what I seen in a particular game. No idea what Scotland's defending has to do with Russia v Saudi Arabia but I'll entertain you anyway. I rate it a lot better than the Saudis. In all my years of watching Scotland play I've never seen 2 centre halfs go sliding by a player just before he stuck the ball in the net....aye laughable

Butler quantify that statement i watch the football and whats coming through what has any side done in any tournament i think one team won a tournament a few years back. I watch the coaches at grass roots level they have sfa badges but dearie me they dont have a clue. They follow the SFA coaching manuel which is crap.
