Now guys (and maybe girls) be honest......

Would you be more inclined to meet a transwoman that had gone through the operation or not gone through it ?

i think i know the answer and i know its my choice but I'm just curious to see what you all think and why ? ..

Thanks x

It's not something I'm bothered about...but I suspect a lot of guys would rather have pre-op...since they all seem to want to suck my cock..which I hate.

For most I'd guess it's down to their own serial preference there are also those who wouldn't accept full transfer op as changing anything

It really doesn't matter. I like cock, I like pussy and if I otherwise fancy the person then what's in their knickers doesn't matter.

Neither. End of the day, it's a guy, regardless of what you add on or chop off.

1. Referring to a trans person as “it” is bang out of order.

2. Gender is not defined by your genitals. This is fact.

3. Why even post in the thread if you’re only going to be transphobic?

Midwife: Congratulations Mr & Mrs Smith, it's a boy!

Mrs Smith: It is not and you're bang out of order for presuming it's a boy just because the baby has male genitalia. It is nothing until it's old enough to decide for itself.

Midwife: Erm, okay Mrs Smith...

Thank you for feedback. And extra thanks for RogueFun for explaining things to whoever it was.....

I was just posting the question as most guys ask me that exact thing, and usually when i say pre the convo stops. Not that i wanna reveal too much about what's going on with me but I'm on the road to potentially.....become post op, the waiting list at the Sandyford is 14 months for first consultation, i'm in no rush anyway . x

while i think there is nothing wrong with trans folk myself lots do and for you to try and force your viewpoint is as bad as another forcing theirs it is devided what gender is some believing it is down to how they feel while others it is tied to what genetalia your born with.

Your comment does exactly what your complaining about without even realising your doing the same yourself

To be honest I don’t fully understand enough about the subject to decide, In my eyes it’s black or white male or female but that’s just me, someone can choose to be different but as I said I don’t really know enough about it to decide, male and female bodies are very different and to my knowledge you can’t 100% transition from one to another without traces of what was original. I’m not against it and doesn’t bother me what other people do is up to them and I will respect what they choose but I would also ask that they respected my views and thoughts, the only time I get annoyed is when it’s forced and I must agree with what I’m told. One thing I can’t understand though is why does the gender topic always come up??? Surely the best way to normalise something is not to always demand attention from it. If it’s always hot topic it’s always gonna be different and never be accepted as normal. Like I said I don’t mind trans or bi or gay at all but just seems everyone’s always jumping up and down demanding to be accepted when they should just carry on as normal and who cares what anyone else thinks asking as your happy

I think people "jump up and down" when they are discriminated against.... whether its because their black, muslim, gay, Bi or trans.

And it shouldnt be hard to understand why?

Any section of humanity that is discriminated against naturally jumps up and down against the injustice it faces. That injustice may well be on a daily basis. Over recent human history that is very true and well documented for black, gay and women's rights as some examples. Things are getting better and it's easy to say but shouldn't "they" just get on with life without a fuss but remember that although laws change people still face prejudice and sometimes even violence every day in life. Some comments here illustrate a level of ignorance that belongs to a bygone era as Jo said. It is also good to see that there are folk that do understand that what matters is the quality of the person within

I read what the poster above you said, and it sounds similar to my thinking, in that you can be respectful, kind and non discriminatory, without sharing said beliefs, and shouldn’t get jumped on for not feeling the same.

No one should be getting discriminated against though, and I’d say jumping up and down is absolutely called for then. Maybe on those peoples heads

I do understand but I think these days the line between being discriminated against is very blurred, There’s a difference between someone not agreeing with someone or discriminating against them. My gran for instance is a 92 year old church goer has been all her days, So for the best part of 80 odd years every week at church believing a certain religion. Now I agree times have changed and people nowadays are a bit more liberal but in my grans eyes it’s wrong. Is my gran discriminating against these people because she thinks it’s wrong? So my gran must change her life long views and beliefs to not be classed as a bigot? But then the counter argument from my gran is why can’t they just accept what I believe and why should she be forced to accept. I think the gay bi trans issues are going to continue to be a problem for many years to come until the people from generations of days gone by have all passed away leaving the younger more liberated generations.

Also very true but with respect would your Gran be deliberately cruel or rude to someone different in belief or lifestyle or would she accord the same request she asks for and gives them acceptance. Good example though as I agree too on the point that there is still perhaps a few generations to go before we have a proper change in attitudes

i think the problem lies more in the laws that are being looked at to be passed where everyone must conform to a set standard eg a trans sexual wants to be called whir or some such name right now in the uk you cant be forced to do this but there may come a time when folk are forced to conform which imo is wrong all you would be doing is transfering the persecution to another group.

The solve all is folk get on with life and stop being butthurt at the slightest thing

Again much like the poster above Kola - that's easy to say if you are not the one suffering persecution on a daily basis and maybe even don't hold any prejudice yourself. The world is far from that but yeah - that's the dream

That’s only from a bisexual perspective. Everyone agrees personality etc is vital, but for straight people what's in your pants is is a binary that means yes or no to attraction without anything else mattering

Yup though taking prejudice from one side and placing on another is surely worse than trying to fix it.

That said its perhaps one of those areas that cant be fixed as its almost certain ask 100 what is gender you will get almost 100 diffremt answers.

Not necessarily as the whole point of gender is that there is a whole range of sexualitys, being sexed at birth is done by biology, it's too early to tell gender.

I would hardly say that is the universal understanding of gender, it’s really quite a minority view of it, right or wrong. I’d imagine most trans people would probably back that up with their experiences.

From a straight person’s perspective, generally it is a binary choice, man or woman. Though you can subscribe to what you outlined and be straight of course. Was more meaning the poster said it was all about personality and doesn’t matter what’s in someone’s pants, which is true if you are bisexual and would be attracted to either
