Can anyone help. How does messages get deleted off your profile without deleting them yourself. .

does this mean you have been reported and the messages have been removed ?

They get deleted by the site after a while if they are old, or I think that sometimes if a user leaves the site they may disappear

if they are older messages unread they get deleted after a certain time.

Also after someone leaves the site rather than unlos it just disappears xx

Messages were sent only today.

doesn't even say user no longer on site.

So a bit baffled, anyway maybe they have just disappeared. Thanks anyway people xx

thats happend to me before to can you look up the name to see if they have left

Think this means recipient has blocked you. Noticed this once or twice myself.

I lost all my unread messages after 3 to 4 weeks all 72 unread

the server does that...but id think blocked

but dunno...

Disagree with what people have said. This happens to us regularly and we are still in regular contact with the people concerned. It is something I noticed when we switched to the new message layout. It was puzzling me for a long time why one half of the message thread could only be seen yet other parts of it could be seen. I am not sure if it is to do with a new message being sent from either party there more breaking the flow of the conversation. Or it could be that the other party has deleted the messages therefore deleting the flow. Either way it is something that only started happening when the new message layout was initiated.

We have had this happen a few times in the last couples of months,

Messages in our mailbox that haven't been opened just suddenly vanish without a trace.

Starting to get a little annoyed about it tbh

Just found out if you message them again and they reply the messages reappear. Weird. Hope it works for you
