Being one of the "Greatest" generally means standing the test of time. I love his voice too and Human is an amazing album (not a bad track on it for my money) but being a success nowadays means artists get so big so quickly and then the next thing comes along, again so quickly, such is the power of the industry nowadays. I read something the other day that said Eminem was the biggest musical genius in history... I like him too but again... best ever??? All down to personal taste I think...

Is that him that done the 'cliche song'? If it is him then unequivocally no. He's not even the best artist of this decade

He’s crap in my opinion. But I’m a rock fan so his stuff isn’t a natural fit in my library anyway.

Great artist yes but there is gaps in his ability.

when you see him live .hes good but not awsome.

its very easy nowadays with auto tune to make an ok voice exceptional the greats can do it live.

He sings. Lay me down with a gospel choir. It's amazing. Made me think outside the box for a change. I've written songs, and his verses are amazing x

Agreed, and who knows maybe even better to come. Some of history's best loved are not the best technically

There are only 2 types of music, There is good music and not so good music. He does fall into the former category for me but he is not THE best.

Somewhere nearby

He was pretty good at TRNSMT last year. That said, I had spent quite a few pounds at the Smirnoff bar prior to listening to him so my opinon cant be entirely relied upon

There have been far better voices than Freddie Mercury.

A legend, of course, but the best, not a chance.

Don’t know if he’s the best ever, but he’s pretty good. Really like Grace and As You Are, but Die Easy is phenomenal.

In all honesty I couldn't name just one, I have been sitting here thinking and it's no secret I am a fan of Metal but I also appreciate good music of any genre. There are so many to choose from, Elvis, Neil Young, Lou Reed, Levon Helm if you are meaning only the singers but there will be many more that might pop into my head when I am trying to sleep.

Now if we can include FABulous bands and not just their singer then that list will be very different.

Freddie voice must be up there. No one has really been able to make a queen cover sound good. Other than George Michael. Rag n bone man certainly not the best ever.

Frank Sinatra possibly? We all got our own favourites
