Hardly

its just a wee whinge about the acceptance brigade

lmao you just look at the apparent law against them in russia

you know the law actually had nothing to do with being gay or straight it was simply to stop the promotion of sexualisation to children

although that exponentially spreading 1970splague seem to think

that your irrationally afraid of them

X does that clarify any

I always just hope this is an example of a silebt majority with a small percentage of drama causing and seeking fairy lover people

Gender identification?

If your a young adult id agree you can be whatever you choose to be but all this non gender clothing is getting a bit much.

Let girls born girls and boys born boys dress whatever they want to wear but putting a pink tutu on a boy going to primary school is only going to end up in that child being bullied.

Right or wrongly .

Cool. From here on in _akeheels, a sometimes bi crossdresser, identifies as a millionaire (shortbread).

Unless i upload a profile to a swinging site and post in the forums, you shall know nothing of my private life.

Is he having flashbacks to raking through his mums knickers drawer?

I’m guessing, and I could be wrong here, he doesn’t like anyone who doesn’t conform to his norms.

The mention of Russian above and the justification for anyone who looks, acts or is thought off as gay being soundly beaten to within an inch of their lives gives it away.

I’m all for personal perspectives, but I’m also all for the right to live and let live, with one proviso, I don’t agree that a man who identifies as a women should be aloud to use a women’s toilet or changing area.

There is much debate about the issue of sexuality and gender identification. The recent Genderquake programmes were very interesting.

For my money most of us are born male or female i.e there is a very small percentage of people born with both genetalia. Aside from that the "sex" of a baby is scientific and has only two options.

As a child grows the issue of "gender" becomes more complex and nowadays we are in the throws of liberating people to allow them to be what they want/feel to be.

My distinction between "sex" and "gender" would be physical and psychological, though not sure everyone would agree with that. We now have a bewildering choice in "genderfluidity". LGBT doesn't even begin to cover it.

To me all of that really doesn't matter, it's about the person, how intelligent, trustworthy, honest, humourous and so on... in other words the character of that person.

The debate and arguement is from the insensitive way society and those in it deals with these issues and also the sensitivity of those that belong to a minority, if you have a complex sexuality then don't be offended I ask about it, it's not because I judge, I'm interested, I want to know and understand but I also appreciate that their are a lot of intolerant bigots out there too.

Hopefully the world will become a wee bit more tolerant and communicative on not just this but a number of other issues.

Wouldn't that be nice in the 21st Century

If this thread is about gender ID then i gotta agree with horsey on this one.

Your either male or female thats fact . How you feel or make yourself look is entirely up to you and i respect your outlook on it but, what happens is some of these people think that because I see you as male or female only , its me that has a problem with gender id. These type of people take offence when they dont get treated like the gender they imagine in thier heads they are instead of being open minded like normal gender people are asked to do towards them. No chance should they be allowed to use opposite sex toilets or changing areas wrongly . Ie mens toilets for people that were BORN a male and vice versa. Act and do what you like but dont ask me to join in with your choices and dress up sessions each to thier own .

This is a very fair point, not everyone can agree and everyone is entitled to their opinions and choices in life. The problem arises when one section of the community persecutes another for being different. A lot of you are saying you dont agree with the current “gender confusion” and that you have zero interest in it. I will assume that also means you would happy for those with a more complex sexuality to express that. Your indifference comes from a place of privilaged acceptance re YOUR sexuality. Those in the LGBT commuity have and do suffer hatred and violence and THAT is the real issue. It applies to a lot more than sexuality too

Hmmm, OK so you're quoting a law in Russia that caused people to be dragged from their homes, tortured and often killed. I get that you appear to be pretty homophobic (ew) but maybe you could clarify... Do you think there are only two genders? Or do you dislike the "other" sexualities, by this I mean non hetero.

Do you understand that gender identity is not the same as sexuality?

Also, it's not a new thing at all. It's just that it's now less likely that you will be vilified, attacked, orstracised or killed for being who you are.

You don't like it? OK.

Avoid it or ignore it. Don't go trawling the forums looking for justification for your prejudice.
