Heading there for a long weekend with friends in July. Looking for recommendations on things to do. None of us have ever been before. We’re staying close to Dam Square if that makes any difference.

Thanks folks. Leo x

They have a microbiology museum which is next to the zoo and a penis museum

Might be worth visiting them?

Highlands

You gotta eat, so...

Try out the food from the ex Dutch colonies.... Indonesia and Surinam. Good Moroccan food also available.

Frites met mayo....for Dutch classic.

Try the Hoppe Bar in the Spui area of town. Great wee traditional Dutch pub, grab a seat outside if it's sunny and watch all tbe gorgeous Dutch folk.

And you need to try an "uitsmijter" sandwich when you're there. Brill for a hangover.

Dundee

Buy the hop on hop off canal boat tickets, then you can get around to the big museums easily and it's a lovely way to tour the city.

Museum of Prostitution was good in the red light district.

It's a great city, plenty to do, even relaxing by the canals with a beer is awesome.
