I'd imagine that it's different for men.

The background will either be tidied up before the pic gets taken, or the men are too busy looking at the interesting bits to notice the grey bras on the radiator, or the sanitary towel pack on the bed. (Yes, I have seen both, and worse.)

Also seen a fair few pics of younger (early 20's?) females with pictures where they are sitting cuddling stuffed toys. They're adults and not breaking any site rules but obviously trying to appeal to a certain type of male/couple. Makes me extremely uncomfortable.
