admin have forced political threads into politics section. they are removed in scotland section.

Even though you can post about scottish clubs in scotland no need to use the clubs section.

Bit crazy but thats how it is

Scotland doesn’t give £350 million a week to the eu.its the uk. Scotland is a country in its own right. All other eu countries give x amount according to their gdp.

I'm sure the bona fide moderators will be along shortly to move the thread if it's not right, letting the self appointed ones have the rest of the day off.

Anyway....yes. Bloody shocking amount of money no matter who is paying it.

As I've said before, where's the logic in preferring to be ruled by an incompetent bunch of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, rather than elected politicians in Westminster. We at least get the chance to change things every 5 years.

Even Jim Sillars says it's madness!!

You realise that we vote for our MEPs? And that the entire running of our country is fine by civil servants; unelected beurocrats, if you prefer that terminology.

To make the comparison you just made is to demonstrate that you do not understand, at a fairly basic level, how either our government or the European Union actually works.

Europe is a bad deal for 99% of the population of Europe. It was just a way for facist control after the war failed. When I think about the solidarity movement in the 80’s fighting for freedom from oppression and now their kids are woking here as second class citizens it makes me sick. Bank managers wiping the tables in Morrisons cafe.
