There is a hair removal powder called "magic powder". Similar to very but should not give the hair bumps and rash. Also bicarb of soda with boiling water (let it cool before use) everyday over 4days removed hair also without bumps and rash.

Might be worth a Google..

Shaved down below for the first time in about three years for a meet I had on Tuesday and I’m going through a very uncomfortable time with hair growth and rash.

Not the best.

I’ll be trimming from now on!

I'm interested to know how simply applying bicarbonate of soda and water to hair can remove it... Sounds like nonsense to me.

As for Op, if you need to shave, exfoliating first helps. Don't go against the grain, and use a fresh blade.

I use Veet and a good moisturiser

I do however suffer from rash when shaving face. As it’s a recent thing I think it at be down to dehydration need to drink more water

Woah, hang on, careful with some of this advice.

Where are we talking about shaving? If we’re talking back, chest etc. then fine. It may be obvious to some, but never, ever put hair removal products anywhere near your scrotum, tisnae, or arse.

If anyone is having difficulty with shaving rash on their face or neck: Always shave after a hot shower, when the hair is softened and the pores are open. Use a traditional soap bowl and brush; the brush will stimulate the face and keep the hair more upright, whereas your fancy-dan gets applied by hand will have the opposite effect. Use lots of the soap, and re-apply as you go. Always shave with the grain to start; once you are no longer suffering rashes and razor-burn, you can go against the grain for a closer shave, but only once you’ve shaved with the grain first. Wash off the soap with warm water, then cold water. PAT your face with a towel, do not rub. Apply a post-shave balm; something with aloe vera is ideal.
