"I'm looking for recommendations for a plastic surgeon. My nose needs serious work - I can barely breathe through it which is my main problem but it needs some cosmetic work which I wouldn't otherwise bother with, I might as well get sorted at the same time. Has anyone got any recommendations for a surgeon skilled in both fixing nose function and cosmetic work? Preferably Scotland, possibly England, but not abroad. Cost not an issue as I want it done right, not bodged. Thanks!" My wife has just had her breasts done from a fantastic surgeon called Ben Chew. His portfolio is outstanding and he is ranked the top plastic surgeon in Scotland. He does equally good work on noses. He is a complete perfectionist in all honesty and his measurements and markings are like them have been done with laser precision Feel free to Pm us for more info and although my mrs got her breasts done, we would be happy to show you before and after to allow to see his workmanship He is based in Glasgow at a private hospital called Ross Hall Hope this has been of some help

"If your nose is so bad that its causing you health problems then this could be done on the NHS. Discuss with your GP who will be able to refer you to a good clinic." Thanks for replying. I've gone down that route but to be honest, they were worse than useless, wasted countless hours of my time and then said my problems were due to allergies. Erm, the fact that I can't breathe at all through my right nostril might be a clue. These people actually waste our taxes.

Type into Google; spire-edinburgh-hospitals-murrayfield-and-shawfair-park/consultants/consultants-by-speciality/ THEN; under treatments select; "nose job or nose reshaping" (rhinoplasty) Then click "go" you will then get a selection of top surgeons in the field . speak to your GP, and request a initial appointment (usually costs around £100 if self paying) . any questions just ask me.

"the fact that I can't breathe at all through my right nostril might be a clue. These people actually waste our taxes." The fact that you can't breathe out one nostril suggests nasal polyps to me. I know about those. I have some, AND a deviated septum, and spend most nights unable to breathe. If your GP maintains that the problem is due to allergies, you are within your rights to request a second opinion.

"Miss Daisy - I'm looking to get information from lots of sources, not just here. I'm looking for local recommendations from unbiased sources. I know lots about my problem and the solution, I just need to find the right person to sort it out, so any information I can glean is useful, and so far, some of it has been." Yes keep your nose out Miss Daisy or it’ll be plastic surgically removed
