lunch invite

Edinburgh

Recently, I invited a fab lady for lunch and a chat to see if there was chemistry, in which case we would go and spend the afternoon having fun.

She suggested that is not a site's approach and blocked me.

What do you think?

Thank you for the answers

The question is not clear enough for me to comment properly. You say she "suggested" it's not "a site's approach"?.

For example was that your introductory message, if so it was premature. Personally I wouldn't like the implied pressure to play even if there's been a bit of chat... A social for me would be no pressure at all on doing anything afterwards. That's purely because (and yes it's the bad guys amongst the good ones I know) some folk can be prettttty pushy

We need more context OP lol

Any site woould say meet in a public place first see how you get on . It maybe shows you as being to forward/pushy suggesting fun straight after .

Nothing wrong in combining a social with fun but perhaps she prefers to keep it to just a social for a first meet which is fine too .

There was no need for the block all she had to say was she prefered to keep it just a social

I dont see why not, some people dont have a lot of time so if both are attracted to each other hand happy to take things onto a playmeet then go for it

stourbridge area

Its a really good idea .... a social .... whether it be a coffee .... lunch, helps me decide if I like that person .... if I dont im afraid any fun will be out of the question

My last social meet was with a guy whom I had chatted to for a while .....but as soon as I.met him alarm bells started ringing.....I finished my coffee I left .... not for me.

Always good to have a social first, be that a coffee, a drink, lunch or just a blether to see if there attraction and the person is who they say they are and not someone 20 yrs older and 5 stone heavier.

so 5 years older and 20 stone heavier would be fine ?

Im taking it you mean have lunch then if you get on straight down to buisness.

if so theres your problem you have an expectation of sex whereas the other person sees it as a social only meet with a possibility of more at a later date

Actually a social i find quite sensual as both are mentally sizing eqch other up wondering about whats underneath. I must say i have had a few scary ones though haha and some hilarious ones x. Has anyone turned up for a social ... seen the peraon and messaged them to say sorry been called away? I bet that happens maybe just out of nerves or just a hell NO

Maybe it was the lunch part she objected too... Me i prefer social chat no expectations either side then see how things flow in future.. Some may just want fun,

Think too many say its not this sites approach

It should be which approach suits the ppl involved.. Think the block was bit extreme tho she would be better just saying no thanks

I had a lunch that lasted 4 hours! We didn’t even move from the bar. It is possible to have socials that are just socials. Nearly 2 years later we’re still good friends.

I find if you offer them to stay the night and go for breakfast in the morning they like that it's less formal

thank you all for the replies. Lunch would be in a public place and to make sure we both would want to meet for fun.

It looks like that at least for some people a social is not a bad idea and lunch is acceptable. Faith restored. Who is up for lunch next week?

Deffo meet socially first just to get to know each other it would be coffee or drinks in bar. Agreed it can be very excited at the thought that you are going to have some naughty fun thereafter. X invites welcome
