I’ve just finished reading Bravo Two Zero and the One Who Got Away. Any suggestions on some new books to read?

Glenrothes

Try Operation Certain Death written by Damien Lewis. Also Dead Men Walking about the Welsh Guards in Afghanistan, and 3 para. So many more that had me transfixed. Heart rending too.

If you go down that route try both Centurions & Praetorians by Jean Lartéguy

Or try James Oswald for a supernatural Rebus lite

Somewhere nearby

My favourite books ever are in the Tales of the City series by Armisted Maupin.

I first read them when I was 14 and have read them more times that I know since then. I find the characters really engaging and get full on drawn in to the story. I never get bored of them. He’s written a few stand alone books as well which have been really good, and I’ve just got his autobiography which im going to read when I’m on holiday.

I’m not a huge fiction fan. I love reading about people’s real life issues, struggles and their perspective on the situation they’ve been in.

The two books were great to read as Andy McNab and Chris Ryan got separated. One was captured and the other got away

I agree too. Also like James Oswald’s books, which are based in Edinburgh.

I'm not feeling Stephen King books. Tried a few of them and can't get into his style.
