I do think that working class cities such as Glasgow all have an earthy, tough, very sharp humour which cities like Edinburgh never really match in the same way or success.

Ohhh before anyone jumps down my throat - there is no offence intended in calling Glasgow a working class city, I am well aware of its rich history, beautiful buildings, clever folk, university etc etc

I agree age seems to make a difference. I’ve seen older folk crack jokes that I just don’t find funny but there’s been occasions I’m sure when the same has happened the other way about.

A lot of older folk don’t seem to like the C word whereas I use it all the time in work
