What’s the difference with size

Jump to newest

A few weeks ago there was a large response when a thread was raised between hung, w/e or v w/e etc

Well now what’s the difference between curvy, large, ample, bbw and fabulous as like some men it appears some ladies find it difficult to decide between a size 12 - 22

Thoughts?

Size is size and folks bracketing criteria isnt agreed with all parties.

This is much the same as guys claiming w.e.....v.w.e. when infact they are avg.

fems claim curvy ample fabulous when they are obese or in some cases morbidly obese. ( before the moral police and white knights rain vengence) if you were to stack these folks measurements on the medical charts this is what the result will be on the chart......its also the avg for our nation now much like guys seem to want massive dicks fems seem to want to be an alluring size type in their perception obese sounds cack curvy of fabulous sound great

if the site gave the option to choose between a 12-22 then we would but it doesnt and Ive said many times a 5ft 2 size 16 woman is going to look totally different to a 5ft 7 lady also a size 16

It’s hard as I wouldn’t say I’m big I’m a size 12ish, but I would put myself as curvy. Or average. But is that average? That’s kinda the thing isn’t it. You don’t really know

Ahem we all know how easy it is to lie about ages I’m sure some would mistakingly mark their size wrong .

Me I’m a size 18-28 depending on where the garment is from and what part of the body it’s for . Lingerie can be very stretchy bridal gowns are very tight and small made so even that makes it more difficult to give a true measure .

If you find the descriptions to be inaccurate which, being a personal opinion of the profile holder, it often is for both sexes, just look at the pictures

i would never count bridal sizes as indicative of size ... i wear size 14-16 in normal shops and am 5'7 ... but i just had a size 22 bridesmaid dress which had to be ordered with additional length added

I’m a big girl, I state it on my profile (describing myself as more Tess than Kate) and I picked fabulous.

Mostly because it sounds a bit more positive than large, which I also am....

There’s no way I would put my clothes size on if it was a category. Why should I? Should men put in inches the length and girth of their cock? I’m sure that wouldn’t be appreciated by a lot of the guys on here.....

I make it perfectly clear on my profile that I’m overweight, and if a guy or girl has an issue with that, then they aren’t the kind of person I want to play with anyway. Their loss, not mine.

Exactly!!! It’s no different from someone putting athletic or something when actually others would say average? It’s all a personal perspective and normally women are more self critical. I’m overweight but meh. So is most of the population. But doesn’t mean I can’t feel sexy sometimes.

Also the posting of this thread was following a thread where from my understanding the W/E, VWE, tiny, small - discussions were had?

It’s all about the woman. As in, each individual woman.

When I saw Jennifer Lawrence’s arse in Red Sparrow I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. But, I’ve seen girls of similar height and build that did nothing for me.

Likewise, I’ve seen larger women who don’t even come close to causing a stir down there, and some who are fucking sexy.

I find the different words on the profiles pretty meaningless and, frankly, I don’t care what word a woman uses or picks for her profile.

We should have positive attitudes to our bodies so we should all have fabulous bodies regardless of shape and size.

We all like different things so we appeal to different people. It’s difficult to know if they are telling the truth without a body pic.

Whatever happened to its not whats on the packet its whats inside! Everyone has a different preference to what gets them going. My moto was always if you don't like what you see don't talk to me. Its simple. No need for harsh rude reactions. Manners cost nothing and what difference does it make to anyone what size a lady perseeves to be as long as she's happy and having a good time.

If you have clear true body pics on your profile then others can judge for themselves if your their type or not.

It's the weird angle 1s that get folk confused.

its we as people who choose to see words as positive or negative.

The word is just a statement of where they are medically.

yet again the white knight comes charging in to save the fems the inhospitable negativity of words lol pathetic.

its perhaps yourself who needs to grow up and see that females have no need of you they are perfectly able to stand up for themselves.

I have nothing against people who are overweight infact most of my encounters have been with overweight people.

this didnt change the fact they were obese if you chose to put negativity on words thats perhaps why folk dont like them unfortunatly on a scale that can be agreed upon thats what they are ample curvy and any other discriptive is a personal view not shared by most (they will favour their own personal view)

We don’t need to be reminded of our medical classification. Some people have medical conditions that mean they can’t exercise and have problems losing weight. I know I’m medically obese I have several conditions that make it difficult for me to lose weight and exercise. Also some people have problems gaining weight and are underweight.

We rarely see posts about men being obese, they usually seem themselves as ample.

Regardless of size there are some lovely people with great personalities and who make an effort to socialise and meet people.

There are stereotypes everywhere we look. Fab embraces diversity and we should encourage it not pigeonhole people. Maybe we should have a ‘personality’ category - shy, timid, chatty, cheeky, outgoing, life and soul of the party. I’m sure we can think of other ways e could describe ourselves.

"its we as people who choose to see words as positive or negative."
If words were some organic, naturally occurring phenomenon that we appropriated for communication, you might have a point. But they’re not, and you don’t. Words are created to communicate thoughts and emotions, and many are inherently positive or negative for that reason.

"The word is just a statement of where they are medically."
Its not a medical website. Your profile would read a little differently if it were.

"its perhaps yourself who needs to grow up and see that females have no need of you they are perfectly able to stand up for themselves."
I’m well aware that women don’t need men to stand up to them. But they don’t need men attacking them, either. And it takes a special kind of insecurity to attempt to halve the number of people who respond to aggressive half-wittery. Regardless of gender, people stand up for each other.

"I have nothing against people who are overweight infact most of my encounters have been with overweight people."
I’m sure they’ll be delighted to read your posts here. If you had nothing against them, you had no reason to anticipate a backlash to your initial, vile post.

"this didnt change the fact they were obese if you chose to put negativity on words thats perhaps why folk dont like them unfortunatly"
So, your saying that ‘morbidly obese’ can have a positive connotation? Aye, okay.

"on a scale that can be agreed upon thats what they are ample curvy and any other discriptive is a personal view not shared by most (they will favour their own personal view)"
Now you’re just waffling platitudes in a vain attempt to not be held accountable for your own post. It’s a bit pathetic, really.

Im one of those people who struggles to gain weigh (meaningfull weight not fats) it dosnt change the fact that on paper im underweight

We rarely see posts about men being obese, they usually seem themselves as ample.

By the same token they are obese

Regardless of size there are some lovely people with great personalities and who make an effort to socialise and meet people.

I havent called into question whether they are lovely people or not and I agree alot of people are great personalities.

There are stereotypes everywhere we look. Fab embraces diversity and we should encourage it not pigeonhole people. Maybe we should have a ‘personality’ category - shy, timid, chatty, cheeky, outgoing, life and soul of the party. I’m sure we can think of other ways e could describe ourselves.

yup sounds great same problem though its personal choice which for a fair percentage of folk wont be true this is the bit that will always fall foul .

pigeonholing is what we do using personal discriptives is pigeonholing also so by your maxim ample curvy fabulous shouldnt be used.

I dont see underweight or obese as negatives I do see them as far more discriptive than the ones favoured by folk

Seen quite a few posts now about females and their body types. How come the men who put down "athletic", but are anything but athletic, are never discussed?

People can put on their profile what they want and what they feel describes them best. It's their profile, not yours. People will have their own opinions about someone's profile, but it would be awesome if they'd just keep that opinion to themselves instead of shouting out obese and fat on the forums.

Pictures say more then words when it comes to body type descriptions. If you think body type doesn't match the pictures and doesn't tickle your fancy, just move on to the next profile x

I find topics like this a bit pointless, the site has to give you some kind of options to describe yourself just like with the tools it provides for using the site i.e. preferences and filters.

I think they do just fine and I'm capable of working out what someone is like either personality wise or phyically using said tools

I must admit I struggle with females perceptions. for myself personally curvy would denote 5"8 dress size 12-14 which is not the case for most curvy fems would it be helpful for overweight underweight to be there yes or even better allow users to use multiple discriptives....so for myself athletic, slim for a fem carrying extra according to bmi large curvy.

It also req folk to stop seeing words as negatives . Most folk can tell when a word is used with malice that dosnt mean its always used with malice

Well, I would suggest a size 12 female who is five feet eight is unlikely to be curvy and more likely to be slim - however no absolutes there though. That's the whole point it's down to perceptions and build etc although there are obvious ones as you mentioned in the medical obese scale. I also agree with the negative connotations some words have but again - people go with the usage and meaning they are familiar with so as I said I work things out for myself regardless of what the person themselves has decided to use

I agree, we can speak about this and disagree and argue until the end of time as we all have our own interpretation of the words describing body-shape.

People can describe themselves the way they see themselves using the options available. Wish there was a fat-athletic option!

Look at the pics/profile, make your mind up, meet social, review your impression of the person. Have fun or don't have fun.

Words are really irrelevant. Pictures (mine included) only tell part of the story.

I think it's a good thing most people don't choose to meet on body size alone and they don't have a body size filter.

I'm far more than my dress size and I refuse to be defined as it

Kind of ironic that while trying to promote body positivity you managed to bodyshame girls who dont have big boobs

Im not even skinny but i still know it works both ways

Doesn’t matter if woman is slim or very large, there all different, it’s her naughty mind set that is the important factor for me anyway

Wasnt what I meant...I was trying to be funny hence the lol at the end...

Making a point that there is always something to moan about and nobody is ever happy regardless of size and its definetly whats in the mind that matters....very naughty thoughts x
