Glasgow

So, here we are again, some poor weather on the mountains

Yet many still willing to go out tramping the hills putting their own lives on the line and worse still risking the lives of Mountain Rescue Teams in danger too.

Walkers/climbers should be told Go At Your Own Risk, Get Into Trouble And We'll Come Get You In Springtime

Three deaths so far, one still missing .

Over there

A few thoughts from me.

Yes, there are some proper idiots out there.

Quite often the press reports are not the full story, often sensationalism instead of fact, and we all know that outdoors small decisions can stack up to unintended consequences. I've been there and seen how vicious press and internet is until you explain, and suddenly you have folk apologising...

Finally, shit happens. Accidents in extreme weather can happen, and bless 'em, MRT turn out and do their finest.

(But I'll say it again, there's some fools out there)

Until I know details, preferably first hand, I refrain from judging these days.

They should be made to take out insurance and if they get lost or injured then the insurance company will cover costs.

as long as we are able we will always do our best to save our fellow humans

even though we think they are stupid buggers for going for a walk in the mountains in flip-flops

some are very experienced and very well equipped, you cannot equate for a trip or fall which leads to a fracture or worse
