Old Edinburgh bars and clubs

Is it just me or does anyone think that the Edinburgh nightlife is rubbish these days?

You walk in to a lot of bars and clubs and it’s full of 16-20 year olds.

My question is. Where did everyone go if they went clubbing in the capital?

I loved a Friday night out in mercado / massa / club time, Eros, subway, cavendish, walkers, the red hot pepper club, bars such as the Rutland, bar 38, Edwards...

The Hoggshead which is now the chanter then we'd hit Uluru for a couple opposite the Odeon on Lothian Road before finishing up in Cav

Some of the guys wouldn't make it past Uluru unfortunately though as they'd end up in Bottoms Up and Ambassadors lol xxx

I think it’s now called the attic. Where famously a Ex blue peter and die hard Hibs supporter was charged for groping a ladies undercarriage recently.

Yikes

Some good nights in mambo. I remember speaking to a girl and her friends were like, she’s a porn star. I didn’t believe her. Turns out she was.

From men?

That’s a shame. Usually a good night for single or married women.

Somewhere nearby

I went to Uni in Edinburgh. Century 2000, Eros and Elite were regular haunts.

What was the wee one under the bridges? Indie kind of place, we went there quite a lot. And one up off Lothian Road, not very big. All on one level. The Ark springs to mind but I might wrong!!!
