Starting from today at Ibrox they are doomed.

Inexperienced manager and done on the cheap . Its about time they went down.

It won't be pretty or comfortable but I think we'll stay up after a struggle.

I'm hoping/expecting Falkirk and/or Hamilton will be just that bit worse than us.

somehow i dont think im qualified to post on this thread (after the appalling shambles that i call a club - newcastle) were relegated last season....however

I think you will see Celtic triumph - just - on the basis that they have spent pre season (whereas rangers have not) and the bairns will drop.....

If the spl had some of the money thats thrown at the premier league then it might be a league to be taken seriously until then its not.

Hamilton out. All the best players are gone or going.

Rangers for champs - other side of Glasgow dont have any passion in there team, Scott Brown (whos brother & father i sit next to at Ibrox) and Scott McD who told me that we was a gers fan just before he moved to celts.

Also Danny Fox???? Get Naylor back to left back cos over the long run the guys rotten. EK Thistle only knocked him back a couple years ago.

A few decent celtic blooded players - the Alan Thomsons, The Suttons, The Hartsons, The Lennons, The Larsons.

No One Playing for the shirt any more.

Nobody playing for the shirt anymore ,thats true I stopped going to football games yrs ago and that was one reason the other was the cost it became an expensive day out.

Celtic n Rangers want to play in English premier, ohhhh,ok,,lets just use the Arsenal v Celts game as a niffty wee appetizer as to how, from scotlands best they will look struggling ten bob bit players against Arsenal.

I look forward to that much talked about idea suddenly being less talked about, because, first they need to GET REAL!,lol

i agree with jason, crock of shite that is. i spoke to mcdonald at a charity night not long after he prevented Celtic from winning the league when he was with motherwell on the last day of the season, and he was gutted. told me his dream was to move to celtic.

also, i have saw someone from england take the piss out of our league, our countries football is actually fucking amazing for a country of around £6million people, and who are neighbors of a nation who drain us of money. Scotland are sitting 24th in the world, and were 15th whilst england were 14th, we are the smallest country in the top 30, we have two teams who regularly attend the champions league, and three who contend in the Uefa competitions. to try and take the piss out of our football is retarded

also, sorry, essay here, no-one plays for the shirt anymore? eh, am i missing something? just because Rangers and Celtic employ arseholes to fill thier shirts, it does not mean that every other team in the country have passionatless players!!

rant over for now!

Seen scottish footy, ok the stats crack us up to be among the rest of average-land, but when they need half an hour on the ball to contemplate passing it, bleat like wee bairns cause they never had the ball direct to their feet and even half the time when it is to their feet they struggle to control the ball, that to me says, "no hope of winning jack sh,, and when a 40 foot sliding tackle gets a bigger bloody cheer than a defence splitting precise pass, does that no tell you our priorities are never going to get us "winning" any of these super European events we are "in", wow, we qualify but we threaten to acheive diddly, year in n year out, ok, sounds harsh but pretty realistic.

but your looking at the standards of european football with all the money and big time players then looking at our game.

try and look at scottish football and consider the lack of money, training facilities for young adults to try and improve, and the fact that players arent given a chance by the bigger teams due to third rate foriegners, then youl see its actually not that bad

before he started taking me to the football, which isnt spl, i would see games he would watch on sky with the huge crowds and famous players. i had never really liked football, but we now go every second week or so and i am right into it now.

ok, its not got superstars on show, its cold, there arent many fans at the games but scottish football is what it is and i personally enjoy watching our team play

Pamandgordie - I assure you both I know Scott McD fairly well through my job and he is not a celtic man. Just search on the net and you will find articles of how he begged McGhee to let him go to Rangers when they bid for him. Im in almost weekly contact with McD thru my job and he is not a celtic man at all.

Anyways no matter how big our country is - Rangers and Celtic & our league are miles behind where they should be. When you compare to other leagues in a country of similar size - do they pull the same fans? no! Do they have the same background? No! Do they sell millions of strips and merchandise? No! Do you pay £500 for a season book? No! So dont give me that nonsene.

The Scotland team has been ruined by politics and Burley. We would have humped Norway if McCulloch, Ferguson, McGregor and Boyd (Any1 disagree) were playing. They dont deserve to qualify - football has no room for politics! Int football is about playing the countrys best 11... no the chuckly brothers and co.

talking out your backside!

what on earth would lee mcculloch bring to the scotland side? please tell me this? next youl be wanting Nacho Novo...

i have to laugh at the fact you are clearly a Rangers fan who has the blinkers on, Rangers players are not the best in the country mate, rangers won the league last season due to mendes and davis, i am a fan of boyd and i do think he should be a starter though.

McGregor is no better than Marshall, and would have not prevented any of the Norway goals. id love a laugh and see what your scotland 11 would be. the only ommision that burley made that we would all change would be boyd, Ferguson pulls out of the majority of scotland games anyway, plus fletcher and brown are better, not to mention kevin thompson when he is fit

no i dont pay a season book at £500, i am not stupid enough, Rangers and Celtic fleece thier fans every season for this, but this is also due to the fact that Rangers and Celtic fans want to see the third rate bollocks that get paid a fortune for zilch. what have guys like samaras, hemdani, beasley, velicka and hesselink done for scottish football except stop a scottish born player getting a chance.

the problem with scotish football is Rangers and Celtic. how many promising scottish football players have they basically nicked from other spl sides and ruined thier careers? Steven Thompson, alan gow, riordan, ian murray and steven pearson to name a few.

no other team in scotland charges thier fans so much to watch football,

youv belted scottish football but cast your mind back a few seasons and look at the hibs team for example.

Ian Murray- bosman (rangers nicking him)

Riordan - £170,000 after celtic waited and waited for his contract to go

Scot Brown - £4.4 million

Garry Oconnor - tranfers amassed to £4.3 million

Kevin Thompson - £2million ( ?? )

steven Whittaker - £2 million.

not to mention guys like Gordon, McFadden, Murty, McCormack and teale are more Scottish players who have made and are making a success of themselves in english football after being in the scottish game.

without the money coming in that english football has, it is very easy to see scottish football is holding its own. just because its skint, doesnt mean its crap
