Instruments to learn are.

Ukulele. Inexpensive to buy and super fun to play, the ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to learn. ...

Harmonica. Be it blues, jazz, rock, folk, or country music, the harmonica (also known as the “Blues Harp”) is a great choice for adult beginners. ...

Bongos. ...

Piano. ...

Glockenspiel.

Was surprised the piano was amongst that but what drew my attention for said post was the array of ukuleles in a shop window.

Think i’m Gonna get myself one of those.

Anyone else have experience of ukulele and share any tips ?

I might be better with a triangle

I played the keyboard and the horn when I was a kid. Used to be able to read sheet music. Couldn't do it now.

I play drums but surprised recently how quickly some musically retarded people at work learnt to put a few chords together on a ukulele

Glasgow

+1 for ukulele

They are actually teaching it in schools instead of the awful recorder.

It is cheap, easy and sounds a whole lot nicer.

Also, to see what can be done with ukuleles check out the ukulele orchestra of Great Britain on youtube. I particularly like their take on the Good, the Bad and the Ugly tune.

Haha! I am the same. Was saying this recently to someone, I am musically dyslexic, always been!

However, few years back I started teaching myself the alto sax.

I rewrite everything to suit the way my brain works!

And I can play a few tunes now

Recorder?

I had a fab friend who was taking ukulele lessons. It was also his excuse to get out the house.
