"Well i am so glad that you all had such a great night. It really is what makes organising these nights worth while. On a wee side note i just wanted to say finding venues can be difficult and obviously discretion is important as nobody wants to feel uncomfortable and worry on the night out. Unfortuntly last night there was some fab memeber who i thankfully knew, that were not given details of the venue and had obviously been supplied them by friends who were down to attend. I think from a fab perspective were most people like privacy it was a bit out of line. And also for the people who were on the reserve list that i couldnt give a space to. Just wanted to make that point i wasnt and still am not creating a scene but obviously it has been noted in the back of my mind. Anyways on a more happy note watch this space for another big event coming up in a few months and i will return all the veris later xxxx" This is disappointing... know a few people on reserve list who were gutted they couldn’t get a space so ye totally unfair on those guys as well as everyone who paid. Peoples privacy should always come first , and the person who gave them details should be ashamed of themselves. This is why i dont attend socials or clubs. Is it true that someone brought their teenage son along, although maybe he is on site too? Maybe need to be a bit stricter with people, and ask them to leave if not on list ? Just my thoughts and no malice intended. | |||

"The person in question that turned up was a female i have met previously. I wasnt going to ruin the atmosphere and night by creating drama when there was no risk to the social or people attending it. Everyone had a fantastic night and if i hadnt mentioned it on forum noone would have been any the wiser. " Glad that everyone had a fantastic night but this shows you how things can potentially take a turn for the worst. I suppose being stricter will help but the organisers have a lot to do in order to make it a great night. Think people on the guest list should be their own policing and not allow anyone to be informed of the venue and party. Personally if someone brought someone who was not invited then they should not be invited back. I'm an experienced dabbed and been to a few socials but this sort of thing that could put me off attending anymore socials As I stated from what I've heard it was a brilliant night so well done on pinup and the other organisers | |||

I can assure everyone that socials run by anyone on here and policed to the highest possible level. X" And also why I stood and welcomed most in during the first half hour or so as newbies are always a little petrified and nervious but the said people turned up afterwards and didn’t move from the seats much as I personally think they knew they shouldn’t have been there... personally I’m pissed off as we had friends who couldn’t come along due to the social being full so several people turning up and taking up seats when they shouldn’t be there. The social was up for weeks if not longer so if you leave it to the last minute then I’m aftaid you don’t get the option of just turning up, thankfully we know for the next time and let’s just say it’s not the first and won’t be the last group of people who don’t get on the list for the next social we organise ourself. Yes randomly sometimes by chance Fab members turn up at a venue and come say hello etc but when it’s a private function at a venue then it’s just downright cheeky. And people wonder why sometimes others can’t be bothered organising socials anymore? We don’t make money from socials, fact sometimes we are out of pocket but we do it so others can enjoy a totally stress free night to mingle with Fab members who are meant to be there

John "totally agree every social I have been at being organised by Nawty, MissK, Bloo, Pinup Girl, Bearded Blossoms and a few others, it has always been perfect and just the hassle of going through everything as well as keeping the venue a secret is hard enough without a few knowing what they were doing was wrong and there was lot of genuine, lovely people who couldn't go because they were too late to go on the list. Even me, my son never trapped on sat night so I was aloe all by myself .
There's no way I would have turned up unless I was invited. its just not on.
Anyways guys congrats on another great evening, yer gravestones should have the quote "Fab Social Specialists"

End of the day, the socials are organised by members of Fab but that doesn’t mean that you are automatically just able to turn up because you are on Fab.... or even not on Fab  It’s not a works night out ffs, if you name isn’t on the list then sadly you ain’t coming in, we’ve been told before that a social is full and we just accept it, we’ve known the venue in advance sometimes but still we take it as it isn’t and make other plans

John "Totally agree with this a lot of time, organisation and money is put on the socials. We have only just realised this ourselves from organising them.
