Yes, it's meant to be an L not an N !!!

Planning on walking the Kilpatrick Hills today.

Never done it before but I'm fairly fit and I'm wondering if anyone local has walked them and if it's easy enough to find your way around them.

I don't fancy being helicoptered off if I got lost

having done a fair bit of hill walking in the past i would never recommend walking in a place you dont know unaccompanied , especially in winter . wait and go with someone who knows the routes etc , biggest problem is people under estimate stuff

Took the advice and headed off.

Fantastic day for it, loads of people out and an easy path to follow.

It's a walk that can be done for fitness or pleasure, depending on the pace you want to set.

Glad I done it.

Down here in the sticks, (Greenock) a good walk round the cut clears the head and body, lovely views.

A lot of the paths round here are still very icy.

The ones in the woods especially so.

Lethal under foot

In this weather, its best to go for a normal good walk around a park. Leave hill walks to the experienced unless you know the walk well. Always tell someone where you are going and when you are expected back.

It was a part of my business and would go on walks all over Scotland frequently and always made sure I stuck to the rules of hillwalking

But always, please be safe
