I will be working it this yr again . 2 shifts over holidays pays for a nice fortnight in the sun in the summer. Xmas dinner 1 day late is a good price to pay

Big thank you to all public sector emergency staff (doctors, police, nurses etc etc) keeping us safe

Not sure about retail staff, they'll also have to deal with wild members of the public

I'd love to be working Xmas day or Boxing day. Triple time for going in sitting on my ass for a couple of hours watching telly then going home. Shame only 3 people get to do it out of a work force of 120

First time in 24 years I've not had to work over the festive period, so I'm looking forward to it.

That sounds fantastic. I have always had to work Xmas or New year for over 30yrs now. Having both off would be heaven to me

(Nessarosa writing)

We both have early shift on Christmas day and Boxing day.

We dont mind, we work in care and the people we care for need that special attention. We are very happy to give it.... thats what its all about.

Xxx
