Near You

Recently I had the pleasure of having some fun with a female doctor friend. Once the dust had settled we decided to go for a shower together. Whilst showering together she was telling me I shouldn't be using anything soapy on my bum area or between my legs or hers for that matter. She explained that ingredients in soaps and shower gels are to harsh to use on sensitive areas?

Has anyone else ever heard of this? I just feel dirty if I don't use some soap.

She is right.

But I think we are trained to use it and our bodies do adapt.

"Swarfega and a wire brush "

Reading some of the 'party' veris on this site, I think bleach and wire wool might be more appropriate.

Makes sense not to use scented products down there especially noticeable if you've ever used the original source mint shower gel!

Ooo that tingles something chronic and not in a good way.

outside your bedroom window ;-)

It can cause Thrush and affect the balance of chemicals in that area and the perfumes they use can inflame any slight cuts you may have around that area.

Just use the wire brush, leave the Dettol for your armpits.

Yep she’s right I don’t use any soap products at all, I use aqueous cream for everything this was recommended by the doc, since using this I’ve never had any problems that ph imbalance causes

For women, some douche their lady parts and that paradoxically can actually cause BV...

I soapify my man bits, and I do like mint shower gel. Makes the skin soft and lovely to touch(so i'm told!), but damn, increases sensitivity.....

There was a story recently in the press about a woman who had a severe reaction to mint source shower gel . I think it's fairly safe to say she wont be using it again

You should read the reviews if it online. Some of them are very funny.
