So, as I'm at work on a Sunday, sleepy and hangry (hungry and angry) I though I would put a post up.

It's about the question of personality over looks/abs/penis size/height that is mentioned on many profiles, I say I believe that to be incorrect in a way and that is that they all go hand in hand to a certain extent.

I myself have had the 'I'd meet if you were taller/fitter/more hung'

Personality will not trump physical attraction but the two are desirable in the same person (in my opinion). Ergo, personality is secondary surely?

Secondary.... Yeah probably but a very, very close second. I'd say I'm about 60/40 with looks/personality.

And despite daft posts on here about celeb crushes, etc where I may have said differently, I've very rarely found myself attracted to the stunning guy on a night out. Cheeky smile, wee glint in the eye and the ability to make me laugh goes a long way.

There’s been plenty of guys I’ve chatted to on here who I’ve got on really well with but I just didn’t find them physically attractive. There’s also been plenty I’ve found physically attractive who have turned me off totally with their personality, or lack of. I need to have both, a degree of physical attraction and mental attraction otherwise it just won’t work for me.

Different strokes n all that eh...a cliche but true all the same.

For myself n probably most others I'd have thought it's the physical attraction that sparks initial interest then from there you find out more about each other by chatting.

So it's physical attraction that gets me interested,n attraction to their personality that keeps me there.

to me in all honesty looks are secondary.

Of course it is! Most people want to hide their inner arsehole because they want to be perceived a certain way to ensure success. I don’t hide mine most of the time it’s pointless.

Of course we go for looks. If he or she had the sparkling personality and made you need a tena from laughing but looked like a frog when you swapped pics it does affect things.

On a night out you see that charm and humour AND what they look like.

There has to be some physical attraction.

I think initially on here I am looking for someone who I fancy and want to get naked with, for me this means a guy who im attracted to and it must be a combination of looks, personality and compatibility.

Unfortunately it all sounds very clinical im afraid and that is off putting.

I do like the word Hangry though

That's true everyone is different, I know a few people who will meet without having seen a face picture. I actually wish I was more like that sometimes but facial attraction is really important to me. Body type, height etc not so much.

Completely stunning model types scare me...I'd always be thinking...6ft gods I the world and she pics me ...what's the catch lol

And ive not met anyone ever who is a true reflection of their pic .... I was on a meet recently and the guy was 10 times hotter in the flesh, if I'd let his pic be the deciding factor i would have missed out on a great night

I disagree, for sure physical attraction is important but it isn't everything. In my experience, personality has won over physical attraction.

There's actually nothing worse than being intimate with someone with the personality of a boulder, even if he does look like a model.

I am also guilty of taking pics from "my good angle" so yes, the camera can and does deceive.

I like risk takers so having one dodgy pic on here makes it easier to find them

Imo when your on the fab site and maybe looking for a meet on here the first thing will always be physical attraction and although it's a shame that will be a put off straight away if there isn't any and then you'll never get to know if there's a nice personality there. At a club however it's the person and the personality that's the draw and looks are way further down the list.
