all banks will be heading the same way.

Caprona

I bank with the Halifax, although those nice staff at BOS allow me to bank with them. Really helpful BOS insisting my signature had changed over the years, handy having three forms of id on me to prove i am indeed Mr T Troll

In the next 5 years there will be only branches in cities. Banks are business they are there to make a profit. If a branch is not profitable it will close. As consumers we have decided to bank online far more. So at the end of the day it’s society that has caused the closures. OP Halifax and BOS are the same bank now. Just different marketing x

Ayr

Yes, banks are businesses and RBS should have been closed itself instead of receiving billions of pounds in taxpayers money being used to save it. A Bank for Scotland as their latest advert says. Aye, right.

"all banks will be heading the same way.

Because there are an awful lot more people than what's reported who don't actually do everything online...

Banks are forcing people out the door, and that's coming from the head offices. Bank staff numbers decimated by Head Offices....profit before people.

E.K . Glasgow

With a rough population of 4000 in Kinross I’m surprised it has 3 bank branches .

Banking is more and more going to online and call centres . The future is shops and high streets will become deserted as more and more shop online .

Of course profiles before ppl. They are not providing a public service. They are there to make money

Thats how all businesses operate, they have shareholders to answer to, they are not charitable foundations.

Uv obviously never visited the Wishaw Branch of RBS,the queues are out the door some days. Its unreal tbh, closing Cleland,Shotts & Whitburn has caused chaos within that branch.Feel sorry for the staff dealing with crabbit customers lol
