Calling any Rave / EDM lovers amongst us.....

This may be a peculiar place to look for peeps into rave / EDM music, but what the heck.....

I'm a first generation raver that moved on the new age traveller scene for many years. So yeah I have attended more festivals and free parties than you can shake a stick at, lol.

I moved to rural Scotland just over 4 years ago and I love it. The Great Outdoors and wide open spaces feeds my soul.

I have only one problem. I used to dance regularly down in Dear old Somerset and now alas I am limited to the occasional festival in the Summer.

I simply don't move in the correct circles up here in my wee rural idyll.

I am looking for any genuine rave / EDM fans with a similar penchant for dancing.

I could of course hit the Edinburgh / Glasgow clubs on my own but at 45 I am somewhat reticent.

I need partners in crime to head out and dance and of course get messy with from time to time if you catch my drift.

I don't care about your age / gender / sexuality etc and I don't care about swinging with you unless we click of course.

I just want some mates into the scene to take me out and show me what Scotland has to offer.

I love DnB, Techno, Psy-Trance and tbh can get down to most genres.

Is there anybody out there.....

You know the score...

One Family innit!

Try Sub Club in Glasgow. Age really isn’t a barrier at all, we are there most weekends and frequently see folks well into 40’s & 50’s attending

I know the feeling. All my Str8 M8’s I went clubbing with settled down & fell out of the Scene, finding other things to do with their weekends such as cut the grass, paint the fence, & other domestic duties.

It’s gotten so desperate I’ve considered “Hip Replacement” which plays 70’s, 80’s & 90’s tunes & starts at 7:30pm one Friday out of the month!

As an ex DJ I miss my tunes, I miss “Mish Mash” & even Coloursfest (an annual bash in Summer in Glasgow) with everyone finding excuses not to upset their “marital bliss” & domesticated lifestyles.

My only hope (Obi Wan) is that someone throws a Fab Social & there’s a decent DJ who can mix at it who will play tunes seamlessly so I can dance myself into a dizzy place.

Let me know how the search goes, or if there’s enough interest here maybe we could all team up & throw our own night.

Most of my friends settled down as well and stopped going out, I still go out but nowhere near as much. If your struggling for places try subbie, Berkeley Suite, SWG3....there is plenty of nights happening. Also there is the odd after hours stuff happening now and again which go on until 9am
