New motorbike comes this week, only been waiting since the start of September. Currently on crutches so won’t get to actually use the thing until later this month.

Any bikers on the site? What do you ride and what’s your fav routes to go? ( riding references to sex are accepted as usual good banter )

Lambretta li125, upgraded to 210cc, my usual ride would be to a coffee shop whilst wearing a nice suit.

Hope this does not offend you power rangers

New Street scrambler fella, just for day to day getting about and stopping off at the coffee shops to pose. Really tempted to pick up a CRF250 for the dirt roads when I feel the need to explore...that’s if I have cash left after being bumped silly by Triumphs accessories prices

First on the list for me is to head away up towards Thurso. It’s a long drive in the car made lovely by the views so on the bike I think it will be stunning.

Quite fancy the Trossachs too

GSF650, applecross is lovely in the summer, also want to do the NC500 when I get the time. Had mine off the road all this year just with things going off with work & home.

Agreed on the NC500, that would be an enjoyable one! Make sure the Heated grips are working...even in the summer

Z750. And a handy spin up A93 then onto A939. Camp in Aviemore and back down the West Coast . Cracking route/scenery. Watch out for birds and loose sheep though.

WR250F. But it's locked away due to a suspected damaged gasket seal and sticky float valve.

Can anybody recommend somewhere that does repairs on enduro bikes?

Ideally somewhere that doesn't want to shaft me as bad as the MOst well known place... I'd like to be able to sit on the bike once it's fixed.

Cheers

Are you mechanicly minded as the WR engines are a good design and can be fixed relatively easy.

Zx10r love them this is my 4th best roads Inveraray, loch earn etc but the bestest inveraray to the green welly . And as for being a power ranger its better to be suited and booted just incase,

What is it riding a cruiser that makes you forget that it hurts coming off a bike so they can wear t shirts mibi even a long sleave shirt, i know they all don't but a good fecking lot of them do.

some good points here

Protection is essential especially with hard riding, trouble is; these routes you have listed are over popular and magnets for the police, especially the unmarked police R1's.

.

sliding down the track or the road sure makes a mess of your leathers, imagine what it can do to your skin if no leathers

Glasgow

I saw photos posted on facebook of someone came off his bike while wearing only flipflops and shorts. Think of the Sunday roast as you pop it into the oven.

The guy left most of his skin on the tarmac. That set of photos should be shown to every biker.

I am of a more advanced age than most on here and value my skin so it is leathers or armoured textile jacket whenever I go out.

Sportsbikeshop currently have Oxford textile bottoms on for £80 with the top rated reviews. Out of curiosity I ordered some which came yesterday. Pretty shocked at how high the quality is tbh however I’m saying that now, il post back when I slide down the A96 for 35 metres...
