So since turning 41 I now find myself out of the age range of a lot of people . Seems 40 is the cut off for a lot of folks. When I was 40 and 364 days I was doing well bit now I’m old at 41 im out of the game

It was not something I even genuinely ever gave any thought to with my own filters but as we get older should possibly our age filters not stretch too ?

I find the age thing a tad frustrating as I'm 23 and prefer women that are 30+ but I've found most of them want guys that are thr same age or 25 and up.

I agree the age thing is fraustrating but people need to set out what they are looking for and that's an important data filter.

I have lost touch with some people this year, we would exchange messages now and again, we never friended or met, but their filters now exclude me.

Shame.

Maybe people should review their age limits or other filter settings every now and again.

I found turning 46 really affected my inbox; it went quiet literally overnight, and when you look around, the majority of profiles list 45 as their upper age limit. This led me to formulate the Fab 'Holy Trinity' for success as a guy;

Under 45

Over 6ft tall

Can accommodate.

You're always in with a shout if you have at least one of the three

Age is just a number its how you feel thats important I have loads of female friends who range from 19to 67 and I love them all but hey there not on fab and cant blame females for being choosy and using the age filter on here as they get inundated with messages

I wasn’t try to complain about people’s preferences or that, we all have and need them but it only occurred to even myself that as I get older I never increase my filters either and I just wanted to know who had experience the same .

I also guess that if I changed my filters I would def see some one I likes that was still a year outwith them, it’s called fab Sod’s law

The only thing I try to stick to is 30 or above, but if someone makes a really good impression I'll let it slide a year or 2, but no more than that.

Just personal preference for me.

When u joined i set myself lower and upper age.limits but didn't block anyone out with those ages.

Im glad because of met a 28 year old that was way more mature than some 40somethings iv spoken to.

Fortunately for us ladies young guys seem to have a thing about an older lady x

Depends on what your looking for if its just sex then age is a number. Anything else requires common ground age gaps usually means diffrent peer groups and life experiences and expectations.

To be fair, bodywise, you do not look 41. But in my experience people tend to knock years off their age not add to them. I think our profile says upper limit of 50 but that's not set in stone. I meet a lot of 50+ men and women through work and occasionally think " you'd get it!"

Only exception is going younger. No matter what they looked like I couldn't go with a 23 or 24 yr old and it's been offered on here. I need my brain engaged as much as my body. Plus they're closer to my kids age than mine.

Hope you find someone who ticks all your boxes...

I dont recall experiencing any “ageist” issues in my 40’s. I’ve always looked younger anyway so attracted folk in their 20’s & up to their 50’s. However since I’m now at the half way point of my 50’s I don’t seem to get the views I used to. That could be down to filters, both of other users & my own filters not allowing to Fab pics etc, & because I focus more on the Social side of Fab rather than Meets. It might be due to having a regular FWB so not actively looking. Or it might be because I don’t particularly care as I’m comfortable & accepting of my looks, my sexuality & my life in general.

When I am looking for a sexual Meet I will focus on those that are available on the site, & if they have filters excluding my age, sexuality, build etc then those folk are entitled to the reasons for their filters & automatically become off limits in my search. That’s just the practicalities of any search - if you exclude certain categories then you also exclude yourself from potential good times. So rather than become concerned about ageism I’d simply focus on those within my search parameters... & there’s still attractive folk on the site who’ll match my criteria. Those are the members you should concentrate on.

When I was active a few year ago I had limits of 5 year either side of mine. I want to connect in conversation with people around my age which is difficult if they are a lot younger or a lot older. Also I have adult kids so certainly not into younger it just wouldn’t feel right to me but if I clicked with older both physically and in conversation then who knows

I actually think that’s changjng a wee bit in terms of people wanting to be in better shape later in their life’s. With the 24hr gyms I thinks it’s a lot easier for people . You don’t need to be in a gym for any longer than an hour to see some great results but I’m guessing you already know that

I do admit being fit helps and a good fit body actually works wonders

Sadly sometimes that alone has got me meets although I'd prefer to have a meet because I'm sexy looking, my lovely personality and my caring charm and my cock is an extra bonus

I've had a few comment During a meet asking my age again, even when playing lololllollll but hey they only have to look at my wurzel gumage face to know the truth

There are ageist's on here but I don't see anything wrong with that, we all look and want differently from what others want and look for, it's what makes the world go round and fab what it is

I find it frustrating as often people are asking for criteria that their own filters are set up to block. In a club I have never known age to be an obvious issue, on a site its a major stumbling block

I think we are pretty much all respectful of people’s filters. As I said before it’s was just that as I got older I never changed my filters but only noticed when I got over 40 and everyone seems to have that as their cut off lol

I'm well over 40, a guy, (shocker) and I'm without doubt extremely selective on here.

and yes I am offered meets and yes if not for me I will politely say thanks but no thanks. For me, honesty is the best policy but not for all

Totally agree. I’m clinging on to 49 and not getting regular fun....turning 50 will probably end any meets altogether unless they are purely “massage only” ones.
