This is taken from the Fife Police website.

Hope it's of some use to those of you travelling here. xxx

There will be serious congestion and delays, Drivers heading for this Saturday's Leuchars Airshow (Saturday September 10th) are advised to expect delays and to leave plenty of time for their journey.

Fife Constabulary has warned of serious traffic congestion across the area as tens of thousands of people head to and from the event.

To minimise delays they should switch off their Sat Navs and follow the AA signs and directions from Fife Constabulary.

As there is likely to be a large increase in traffic throughout Fife on the day of the Airshow, Fife Constabulary in collaboration with RAF Leuchars Airshow and Fife Council have devised a Park & Ride system at three colour coded sites. The Park and Ride system has been created to minimise delays and reduce the pressure on the road system.

Visitors who do not have a pass for parking on the base are also being warned that they will not be allowed on to the site and will be re-directed to a Park and Ride, which could add considerable time to their overall journey.

Fife Constabulary in collaboration with RAF Leuchars Airshow and Fife Council have devised a Park & Ride system at three sites, which are colour coded. This system has been created to minimise delays.

Red Route: Traffic from Dundee, Aberdeen and the North should head to the Red Park and Ride.

White Route: Traffic from the Forth Bridge and South of Fife will be directed to the White Park and Ride.

Blue Route: Traffic arriving from Clackmannan will be directed to the Blue Park and Ride.

Went last year and it's a grand day out for the kids and the kids at heart!

One piece of advice I would give is take the train instead of driving. Scotrail do rail+entry offers from all over the country and it's def the way to go.

We always take the train and never had any problems. Much less stressful too.
