Do you remember the first time you heard your own voice on a recording?

My own voice still freaks me out. .

It's very strange how your own tones aren't what you would expect.

Am like surely that French accent is more subtle

And my French voice is louder somehow.

It’s weird I believe we have noise cancelling when wee speak or sing so doesn’t sound bad . When we listen to a recording back we’re only listening and there’s no noise cancelling . Think that’s why some folk think they can sing

Not sure about noise cancelling but in your head your talking pitch will sound lower than it really is when played back - most off-putting.

I hate my voice....I sound about 12. Hubby loves watching (obviously) and listening to the videos we've made together but I just cringe. Can't bring myself to watch them. I have been told I have a lovely singing voice though.

I was once told my accent was gutteral...Ive tried to soften it however no matter what I do it always falls into harsh Inverclyde. I did kill for an soft Inverness accent mind you....silk to the ears
