The weekend... it's been a busy week with babysitting, extra hours at work and decorating so a long bath with wine and candles, reading a book I ordered which arrived today and lunch with a friend is all planned... small pleasures

Anything you recommend us to do

Yep. There are a few free museums we went to (we were on a budget!) At St marks Square area. The water uses are great value for money and take you all around the area (gondola is expensive) and the Jewish quarter is very interesting and is not far from train station to walk. You will have a lovely time in this wonderful city x

Doing my motorbike course this weekend so buying the bike is top of the list, xmas in Portugal then a few days in Germany just my daughter and I for her bday. Loads to look forward to, makes the crap days bearable
