After chatting to a couple on here we exchanged numbers spoke on facetime arranged to meet at there's as they didn't drive, all was sounding great.

So we drove for 2 hours to the post code they had given us then phoned to get the house number. Neither of them answered there phone and guess what they are no longer on site.

What's the furthest that you have travelled to be let down

Very odd behaviour, especially if you seen them both on facetime too.

Lots of odd bods on here, but just have to try again.

you wouldnt catch me travelling 2 hours for a meet, especially without the full verified address in my possesion first... specifically because of situations like this.

does seem odd though after facetiming etc.... but they probably had no intention of ever meeting, were they meet verified?

sorry, to answer the original question... the furthest ive went was Livingston (about 40mns) and got stung by a fake.... I was fucking livid!!

I signed up to loads of spam generating sites with their e-mail address in retort, even though i would have preferred strangling the bastard

Rotten thing to do. At least have the decency to let you guys know. Furthest away I've gone to be stood up is the pub in my home town. Never travel for first meets, because they're not the most reliable dates x

I went to a door in Aberdeen once and the lady didn't have a clue and threatened to phone the Police if I didn't leave. The woman I was supposed to need phoned laughing as she said she could see me from her window. There were loads of houses overlooking where I was. Put it down to experience.

That sucks just had something bit like that happen to me.

Had been chatting with a couple but was never free when they wanted to meet.

We had arranged a last minute social in a pub tonight but their last couple messages gave me the impression tonight may not be the best for them so sent message saying I could do another night if that was easier. Got a reply telling me to fuck off and I was a time waster, then blocked.

Was literally out the door when I got it.

But oh well that's fab sometimes

Had one in glasgow where the couple messaged us asking what part of the pub we were in,we told them and waited,they kept asking where we were then said they had went back to their hotel. No loss as we were out anyway but bloody annoying!

In the last weeks ive travelled around half an hour to livingston and to South Queensferry, chatting right up til i said i was there, to then sit waiting for 15 mins before giving up.

The site lacks a 'timewaster' option, especially as users can hide the feedback they receive and i've seen profiles claiming they were banned by moderators for naming and shaming timewasters.

Interestingly ive had many meets (here , fabguys and other sites over the years) but never once has a genuine person i've met requested a facepic, i've only recently started giving one out as more and more people request it. A proper verification system should be good enough.

I'm outside your age range, I would never contact anyone with intensions if I did not fall into what they are looking for. I only chat to everyone for laughs and giggle or if there a wee question I wanna ask them about their status, profile etc...

maybe you have, maybe not but nowadays with all phones you can chat on video and feel more confident.

I was chatting for a while with a female and everything was going well but my instincts on here is never trust anyone Until and until is a long way away, lollll

but she disappeared and then two weeks later she's back with a couples profile and says her husband wants to watch but right before she left the first time she said she was married and her husband knew nothing about it. from the way she chatted I don't think her husband was the kinda person who would have approved. but they both might want it this way, you never know and it was all ironed out in a week and a half lolllllllll

Am so glad I never travelled to see her
