Fochabers

I work in the alcohol trade, so know where to go in Edinburgh for great drinks. I also rarely end up somewhere without someone that I know either working or drinking.

This has a potential pitfall in that if I am meeting a couple or single for a social, I'd want to go somewhere nice but my friends arw nosey buggers; love them but they are, and would absolutely come over and say hello.

So the question is what would you do if you were out with someone from fab and bump into people you know ?

Has this happened to you ?

I feel like with a single you can ask mates to bugger off cause you're on a date but if meeting a couple that's harder to do.

I've bumped into people I know on meets I just say I'm having a drink with friends and will catch up with them at another time, short and simple your stopping any of them sitting with you and not explaining to much.

We always introduce fabers as friends from Lees photography contacts or just friends.

We keep it like that.

Happened on our first social meet. Friends band were playing in Binkies and we were down in the Katacomb bit and pretty wasted and tactile. Don't know how much or what they saw but they've certainly never mentioned it - and neither have we lol

I always bump into someone i know no matter where we end up, unless its someone who really knows me they wouldn't normally get introduced to someone i was with anyway but i usually just go with them being a friend, friend of a friend or a work thing.... most people don't tend to ask anyway if they know me

I was in a pub in Rutherglen with a couple, having a post-coital drink, when I spotted an ex colleague, someone I didn't get on with. Whether she didn't see or recognise me, or blanked me because of our frosty relationship, I don't know, but it was squeaky bum time for a bit.
