I get that some folk aren't interested, so don't read a message, but what about when you have exchanged 5 or 6 messages in a row, then your next one isn't even opened...

Do females get that many messages that others get lost in the ether? It's pretty weird to spend 30 minutes messaging and chatting, then just ignore. Any females shed light on this?

I don't want to send another and thus bombard the girl...

I've seen it happen with me on my singles profile. I always reply to newest first so it means sometimes others get lost for a bit x

I get bored pretty quickly if the convo isnt interesting perhaps the person you mailed felt the same or perhaps they are just busy

As a female who gets lots of messages I tend to reply like this ...

1- people I've met

2- people I've spoken to

3- people who are verified

4- people who are local

I've been known to delete messages without reading if I'm inundated. And occasionally delete without responding if you are offline when I read.

It may be that she feels the conversation has petered out or any other number of reasons. At the end of the day site rules state a non response is a polite no thank you.

If you're really keen I'd suggest sending something along the lines of "hi, I was enjoying chatting to you but if you don't wish to then I'll take a no reply to this as a definite no thanks" or something to that effect... women can find saying a definite no can lead to further "ping pong" mails of "why" "is it me" etc, so often just don't reply when not interested because it's easier.
