How do you deal with them?

I try to wind them up as much as possible and waste their time.

usually its ppi or ambulance chasers for me. i just leave them speaking and put the phone back in my pocket. dont get any coming to the door, the sign on the gate saying 'please close the gate, free range german shepherds' deals with that

You cant beat 15-45 minutes of timewasting on the phone. Although i always say not interested at the ver start. If they persist then i give them full bhuna time waste. Then when there at the point of closing that super deal we spent 40 minutes agreeing i then remind them of our first few words . Not interested. Its priceless.
