So what are your ways to get through or deal with those lonesome times? I always have the same trouble every summer. My pals dont get the same holidays job wise as i do and i find myself with a heck of alot of spare time to ponder and drive myself mad with haha. Im a huge dvd and gaming fan, but only so much of that you can do. I take myself out and about but then the danger is just spending money on crap simply because you are out.

Not even sure what responses im after? Just moreso a rant moment by me it has turned out as haha

Get a dog and go walking...find somewhere you can volunteer on an ad hoc basis...do an ou course...join your local gym...take up painting...learn an instrument....

Do you really need other people or electronic stimulus to fill your time?

Yeah a dog wouldnt work, as you cant give it back after these few weeks lol

Gym? I go runs etc but thanks

Do i "need" people and electronic stimulus? Nope. I did say in the start of the original post how do people deal with their own specific situations

(Nessarosa writing)

Get into hiking, we are seeing a lot of singles (pairs and groups)

Hiking and climbing.

We even saw a Hen do climbing Ben Vorlic.

Lee is American, he has the gift of gab. So he can talk to anyone.

So we do get into some great conversations.

We have also seen some very yummy men hill walking.... single...not sure but very yummy indeed.

Lee said start getting into photography... pick a subject and get out of the house and take photos. Often people will ask what you are doing or show interest. (Something you can do in winter too)

Xxx

I'm similar. But then i generally have lots of things to keep me busy. DIY/decorating or gardening lately. Otherwise I'll go exploring and hill walking...

I found myself very isolated and lonely as a stat at home mum even though I was incredibly busy and sociable.

At that time I found immersing myself in reading and writing a big help. I could escape situations at ease.

Oh I find that word sad..Feeling lonely is awful and i have felt like this many times in my life, even when I have had family and friends round me. In my case it.did pass but I found keeping very busy helped, as did walking and gardening even! I hope it passes x

Get a motorbike. You spend more time trying not to die than thinking about being alone . Then when you park e dryone will come and talk to you .

Same has happened with me in my car or cycle. Out in the open, people are much more chatty

On a serious note tho... I started cycling when I was bored / lonely would begin doing 5/6 miles just to get out and get some exercise... ended up loving it and now go out 3 times a week and do around 20 miles each outing. Can take as long as you like, see some cracking scenery and I've even been know to stop of for a bar lunch and a pint haha.
