been asked to get a wee drinks nite arranged in Glasgow for October .

so i have decided on Saturday the 9Th of October .

Anyone wishing to join us then can you plz add yer names on here.

It will be drinks in a public bar so plz be warned you will have to behave in public.

rite folks as so many wanting to go ive decied to turn it in to ma late bday nite out as imj 42 the wk before so i have now arranged a venue an can now take up to 60 people to it so i really need to make sure you are all coming .

you will all be given a wrist band on the nite so if ye see anyone wearing one you will know you are in with those people as we will be only ones wearing then that nite ,

i will have a list of names so if your not on list you wont be gettin in simples .

so for now you will just have to book hotels and have a good bloody nite ,

There is no cost to anyone that nite so hope you all come along and enjoy meeting up xxx

hi guys just to check/clarify the venue, although the actual location is not stated, is a public venue yeah ?? as in it isnt a private function suite with a maximum capacity, its a large public lounge where Joe Public can wander in if they wish ??..it seems a bit harsh to reject/deny your fellow FAB members access to the social by a cap on the numbers if it's actually an open venue anyways ... you meany you ...

sorry S I think you misunderstood my post, I was'nt actually miffed that I could'nt attend, the reference was empathy with the people who did want to attend but who's notes of interest had been rejected..though I'd be curious..(after the event of course) to know which pub/bar wishes to limit the number of patrons who ener it and spend their hard earned on alcohol in any of it's public bars or lounges....that def woudl be a publican running a business for the vocational aspect of it all....

sorry S I think you misunderstood my post, I was'nt actually miffed that I could'nt attend, the reference was empathy with the people who did want to attend but who's notes of interest had been rejected..though I'd be curious..(after the event of course) to know which pub/bar wishes to limit the number of patrons who ener it and spend their hard earned on alcohol in any of it's public bars or lounges....that def woudl be a publican running a business for the vocational aspect of it all...."

well since a few have canceled or left all on here have places but that then is for tose going ... and since yer so nosey , they have 2 other functions on and mine has been done as a fav .

there. are over 80 folks goin an we do have a private area of the bar so all good .

its always safer to have limited numbers on nites out less likey for trouble ad less who ken about venue to spoil folks nites as it has been done several times on here ,

there are honestly no sour grapes this side, none in the slightest, just an individual's contribution to an open public forum, as previously posted I hadn’t requested to attend the social, which subsequently became a birthday party, it really was just an observation, input & empathy for others who seemed disappointed at being told they couldn’t be in attendance at social gathering held in an open pub. This is often the downside to forums, not just the FAB forums, everywhere. They are intended for the airing and consideration of individual’s points of view on all manner of topics and subjects, it's kind of why they were created, and more often than not any point of view not quite aligned with the general consensus of the thread is ridiculed rather than debated/discussed, how dull would the world or indeed FAB be if we all liked the same...I've been contacted by now by 3 people, who actually agreed with my take on this, 1 of whom will actually be in attendance on the evening, they just didn’t want to actually speak out for fear of, well ya know, name calling or appear antagonistic or inimical. It’s definitely a good thing some space has now opened up and hopefully all who want to attend now can, and I truly do hope all have a fantastic evening and birthday girl has a memorable one, but again, this isn’t about sour grapes, it’s just an opinion, we all have one....

Rite serously had enuff of my thread beign taken over for some bloody rant , i do the nites out an usually about 20 folk turn up , due to others wanting to go on the nite out i then changed it to accmodate the others then more added names on as with all socials there are limited numbers an the joe public have also got to share this pub as well as a wedding in there that nite also but hey lets just go take ova a pub so mr here can hae all of fab in it , it mite be local pub but its public as well an i did state that on the forum.

its a case of first come an first served i had said it was closed an folk still insisted puttin names down for a post already closed , i then added those names an had to close it again , added those names an had to close it agian , seems im neva gonna plz you eh mr ????? but this was a post for a nite out an changed to a mini social for ma bday so hey ye done well with spoiling it now its all about hey i cant go or me or me , well those not wising to go let me know as mail will be going out soon an anyone who has a complaint mail me simples but im not here to piss folk off all i wanted was a drink wie friends seems i cant even do that now !!!! dampner well on the eveing now cheers . oh an if mod reading can u plz close thread afore i really take it out of hand thanks xxx ops one more thing the name of the bar being used will be kept private as im not havin them or their staff slated on a bloody forum for someone elses amusement , because they arent turnin away business they have loads on this nite an have agreed as a favour to me to let us hold it there so plz dont abuse the bars that are swinger friendly we dont get many of them .....
