Even better IMO were Discos that came with a sachet of additional flavour, and they were great.

Can't remember the flavours, but I'm sure the Salt and Vinegar came with Chilli.

Especially if you saved the sachets and used them all in one bag

Never mind crisps, I saw a car the other day that was made the year I was born, and it looked in better nick than me. It probably had less filler and welding too.

When I lived in Spain in the eighties the nearest to flavoured crisps was to add a couple of drops of Worcester sauce to the bag of plain then give it a good shake.

I definitely remember salt 'n shake but I don't remember flavoured ones.

I do remember that a bag of crisps in my primary school tuck shop cost two and a half pence.

I remember the salt and shake crisps. There was a little blue bag of salt that you had to rummage through all the crisps to find.

There was enough salt in the little packet to give you a heart attack so you had to be careful not to tip the whole lot in at one time.
