navigating certain systems makes it horrible to add punctuation this phone has 3or 4pages of punctuation sometimes it is easier to not use them. As long As it is understandable is it a big thing it bothers me in the written word though not online.

The other one that gets me is when people end a statement with a question mark (or two). Too many do it for it to be a mistake, and it's not like the question mark and exclamation mark are next to each other on a qwerty keyboard.

Sometimes this can happen when people try to use emojis from a phone instead of the fab platform not necessarily a punctuation mistake

What???

I like my punctuations! I like to make my writing lively at least, you know when to breathe

Plus, I get punctuations wrong sometimes as there are different rules in French.

Remember, not everyone on Fab has English as a mother tongue

I do feel your pain, at least to a certain extent, OP. Some messages are bad enough that the meaning is difficult to determine, which is the point at which it actually becomes important.

Mostly I try not to complain: there are often legitimate reasons for grammatical and punctuation errors, smartphones and autocorrect perhaps being the rising star here . Every so often I feel the need to have a wee rant, though, so I can sympathise.

My pet hates are loose vs. lose and yous (or use or us) as the plural of "you". Maybe there is a case for English having a distinct plural you, but right now the plural version of you is "you".

But I'll try not to let it get to me .

"What emoji is made up of two question marks? "

Every emoji from your keyboard is converted to 2 question marks on fab ... it only supports the fab emojis

You'd think repeat offenders would realise after a couple of times.

Im not big on txt speak at an extreme level where people try to cut out every vowel or use slang words which are often just as long as the real word just with a different spelling

However people probably read my posts and profile and count it as txt speak since i dont write in proper grammatical sentences and when i do use punctuation its usually like this .... to let you know when to take a break

The way I look at it ... i am not writing an essay or a thesis ... i am communicating on a social platform ... i write the way i would speak and if it offends you then chances are you wouldnt want to listen to me talk either so no loss to me

If you add an emoji from your phone keyboard it comes up on here as two question marks
