there is premier Inn, travel lodges near by.

Edinburgh

There's also Tune hotel, just opposite Haymarket Station.

The nearest Travelodge is walking distance too.

Have done both but staying over is definitely easier. Plenty of reasonable hotels within a £5 taxi ride
