I know it's not easy.....

But sometimes it's better in the long run and can save a lot of heartache.

Think about what's best for you ,to hold on to something that can never be if the other person is married to waste your time on something that doesn't have a future , and while you hurt they are at home with thier partner getting everything they need , it's difficult and like I said each situation is different but think of your needs and then decide from past experience I'd tell you to walk away in fact run as these situations someone ends up hurt you them or the poor person at home who doesn't have a clue, but only you can make that decision best one I ever made that way you can focus on what make you happy not what someone else wants when feelings take over its difficult but belive me it's more important to put yourself before anything good luck xx

Best cut all ties and leave her alone to live her life in peace. It will break your heart and the pain won't go away for a long long time if ever at all. But if you love her you've got to do what's best for her

I'm talking from experience here, 5 years on and still hurting

Do what feels right for you.

This isn't a dress rehearsal

And yes, occasionally life's a bitch

It's horrible, isn't it.

If it can't be then decide if you could still be good friends before you do anything rash that could destroy that possibility too. Having a really close friend could be a compromise that could work.

That's what I've learned from when I was in the same position.

This is the position we were in when we met. My other half was attached and I (tina) was single. Go with your gut. If it's right it will happen. We couldn't stop it happening and now 10 months on we are engaged and getting married next year. It wasn't easy. It was hard going at times but you can't help who you fall in love with. X

Not much details here!

Are kids involved?? are you certain of your feelings?? Is it not just a matter of love her cos I can't have her?? Etc..

If you are asking on here, I would assume you are unsure and feel it is not a good move.

Personally, I would say walk away.

Can you live with breaking someone world, a family's world. At the end of the day, you're the one having to live with yourself.

I believe sometimes doing the right things is more rewarding than being focus on your own selfish want.

Hope I make sense.

Whatever you decide, good luck OP.

The best way to be is honest, no point hiding you're feelings, just be prepared incese it doesn't go well, and if it doesn't go well walk away and leave it on a mutual note as there is no point being bitter

Good luck

A lot of good advice up there but we don't get to choose who we love, there is no simple answer as each individual case is different. Sometimes these things work sometimes they don't I'm a great believer in the tenet that people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. I wish you luck in figuring it all, it's not easy FxXx

Aaaaaaaah love! What a concoction of chemicals, eh? A nuisance most of the time, but damn it feels good!

It's a difficult one, most of the time you don't control it, you just see "the one" and your heart races and your chest is pounding, palms are sweating, it's both terrifying and exhilarating! And sometimes, even years down the line, you see that "special someone" and the feeling is the same! But is it really true love or is it just an involuntary reflex? People think that you HAVE to find a singular, unique, perfectly matching person to live on the rest of your life in eternal happiness! Those people probably never dabbled in statistics, oh poor deluded them!

Now obviously you need a practical solution, something you can do and get some feedback! My advice is to speak up. Because if you don't, you may never get over it. That's not to say that you will not eventually forget, but what good is life if you can't express your feelings anyway? So speak your mind and see what comes back your way!

"What to do? "

Walk away.

If it's meant to be it will be.

I wouldn't focus all my attention on someone who wasn't focussing all their attention on me.

This is why I have a rule of nobody married or in a relationship- even if they say they love you it's very hard for them to walk away from their life - especially a long term marriage with kids, even if they are grown up

You have to accept they are doing what is right for them - and that doesn't always align with what you would like lol

(Nessarosa)

A lot of advice, some I agree with.

One slight witchy warning.

If she fools around with you while still in her relationship and then you get together.... it will always be in the back of your mind she can do it again to you.

"First time is scary, second time be wary"

I hope it works out for you and you find love and happiness.

Xxx

Perhaps, or maybe in the wrong relationship in the first place... so many ifs... so many fears... one can fear speaking up... then regret not later... at least knowing the truth makes for a healthier way to move on than lingering doubt.

Wise to be wary though x

A world of my own

I'd like to say hold on to hope if you both make each other happy. However I know all too well the sadness that goes with it.

Walking away isn't ever easy, however easier now than years down the line.
