As a nurse it's nice to be appreciated in these trying times, I spent day chilling with a friend. In a little under 2 weeks I'll be joining colleagues at a protest when the Pay Review Board descend on BGH.

I love my job but my cost of living/childcare/general expenses have gone up greatly, but the wages haven't, I'd be better off going part time and working in a super market, and that makes me sad. Moral in NHS at an all time low and it's not going to get any better

I was back in the short stay unit yesterday, 4th operation this year. I genuinely love our NHS staff members even the moody ones, slowly but surely piece by piece they are getting me back to my full ability to hit the gym again.

Everyday should be appreciation day for the services across the board

All our emergency services are something we perhaps don't think about too much till we need them... perhaps that's as it should be and hopefully we never do but it's likely we will at some time in our lives and it's at that time we realise their true value. That really can't be measured in money and for the vast majority of them it isn't about that BUT they should be paid far better than they are... we really couldn't afford their real worth!

Glasgow

The NHS is the absolute cornerstone of our great country and it is with great sadness that it is perpetually taken for granted, misuse and used as a political football.

It's the greatest service the country has and has always had, and without the staff, British and foreign, it would be nothing.

So proud of Belle and all the hard work that she does!

Nurses are the salt of the earth and I first hand see just how much of themselves they put in to save others!

I salute my wife and all the other amazing nurses saving lives every day
