"Skye and north coast 500"

There are enough camper vans, caravans and tourists already on the NC500.

It was bad enough with all those doing Land's End John O'Groats.

I toured the Outer Hebrides by motorbike a few years back. Would love to go back.

Ferry from Oban to Barra, then island hope up to Lewis. Ferry, Stornoway to Ullapool. Maybe head down West Coast. Stunning scenery.

And remember, if it's rockin', don't come knockin'! Unless you're into thresomes!

See I'm well travelled when it comes to Scotland, not one part of it I've not visited over the years. Even done a lot of the islands i hadn't visited many years ago on one of the tall ships for 2 weeks hopping on and off islands just to tick them off. Strangely not been anywhere in Scotland over the last few years properly hence this post, wee weekend in a campervan around some parts of Scotland possibly or down to London with few stops(clubs) on the way there and back

a quandary, could you change my mind?

The great thing about a camper is having some ideas of where to go, but be prepared for change.

I think it will be the south coast for my next trip.

I really fancy a much longer trip than a few days, would love a trip out of Great Britain.

Aviemore and regularly visit Glasgow

Up the A82, Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Fort William.

Then up the road to the isles stopping at Arisaig/Morar.

Ferry from Mallaig to Skye, tour round the island. (Avoid the fairy pools, it's like oxford street these days)

Over the bridge to Kyle then down to Loch Ness and onto Inverness. Then down to Aviemore/Cairngorms before home.

That would be a nice few days trip in a camper from the central belt I reckon!

cwmbran,

We're heading up this week in our mobile home. Starting our Scottish road trip at our little pocket of paradise Drummore then on to Fort William, up to Inverness then planning on coasting out west to explore what we missed last trip
